Hell of a drive from the Corvette, incredible defensive positioning and still kept it flat out in some of those corners.

The Mazda was faster. The corvette held him up in the turns. If the Mazda was leading after a couple turns. All that straight line speed wouldn’t be enough to catch the Mazda. This is my opinion.

That's a standard rotary as that's how the first rotary was designed, look it up. Japanese got rid of the PP housings for side induction to make the car more usable.

It’s always the way…. Classic American cars cruising around the track and the only one racing is the idiot in a rotary. Funny how others actually thought it was a race! Bloody peanut risked all of those cars which ALL would have kicked his arse in a race.

I can't imagine how frustrating it is to reel someone in in the corners and then watch them fly away in the straights lol.

The small sized, lighweight, low C of G rotary engine really allows the car to easily overtake in the turns.
