I lived through the grunge era thru my late teens and early 20s and it was my lifestyle. I also worked as a pro makeup artist back then. What gave you the idea this is how we wore our makeup? We didn't do it this way. Yours is very pretty but its also very messy. The only thing that was messy like was eyeliner and smokey eyeshadow. Eyebrows were thin and very manicured, and lines were very clear except for the smokey eyes of course. Skin was almost universally matte and full coverage. Freckles were were considered childlike so almost always covered rarely emphasized. Cheeks were never highlighted and contouring was non existent. Lips were heavy, dark and matte browns, burgundy, reds, blacks or blues. Good job skipping fake lashes. We didnt bother with those back then. ✌️ PS. The grunge look came from sleeping in it and reworking it bc we were lazy 😂

it looks great on you but this was really hard to follow even though i watched it multiple times before even attempting to follow. i ended up with a completely diff much much darker look :/ i think a close up on the eye and showing the colors you are using wouldve helped a lot

As a guy who is doing a french 17th century vampire for Halloween this year(2023) i did a trial run of the look and well all i can say is that i can this pulled off a very well. it's so beautifully put together i honestly can't wait till i have my costume and contact lenses which will complement the make up very well.
