I only started watching the film because I stumbled upon this video, its title seemed promising. Before I got to the shot/reverse shot, there were other marvels awaiting. The scene with the woman looking at the wall for 3 minutes, and then she takes off her panties and pees for another 2 minutes. Wow! And then the most gruesome cabbage murder scene in cinema history (10 minutes). That one was so absorbing I even stopped fast forwarding. Finally I got to the final scene. I watched it for 10 minutes, then washed my head, made another cup of coffee, then went on with it and watched the scene to the end. After the woman left I thought the man was going to pee, considering the familiar wall and the amount of liquid he has consumed, but no. (By the way, I don't think this is an example of shot/reverse shot where two characters would be looking at each other; what we've seen comes under the more general term 'Eyeline match'.) The film is not bad, though. It is nightmarishly slow, but better than most of Tsai's ouvre due to good scenery, lighting and camerawork.

The amakusa player did ok. He should have teleported more often as he can cancel his light attacks into it on hit or block and comboed into handslaps as well. Handslaps can actually be used as an anti-air if you time it right and it comes out really fast. Note that his teleport and handslaps can also be used when unarmed. Amakusa's hp fireball does mad chip damage and is actually safe on block unlike the other two versions but it's also slower than the other two. So canceling normals into hp fireball is quite important to stay safe cuz Amakusa is punishable on a lot of his normals.
