I live in Spanaway and finding friends in Tacoma/Puyallup is hard, makes me sometimes want to give up, no matter where I go there is nobody, I ebike and the side walks in Tacoma are pretty bad. Puyallup is better but idk. Spanaway just ain't it for making friends sadly.

My name is Leisa, and I enjoy your videos. The reason is because I was born and raised in the South end of Tacoma. I was born at Tacoma General Hospital. My address used to be 7435 S. Fife St. My Family lived in a log cabin home. We had big property then. But unfortunately our home caught on fire in 1995 and burnt down. It was an old house. But it was my family home and the house I grew up in from 1973 till 1995. Our property was big. After the fire, they built 3 houses on the property where I lived. I went to Arlington Elementary School, Gray Junior High School back in 1987, and Mt Tahoma High School. And of course living close to Tacoma Mall. I lived so close to I-5, I could hear the freeway. I loved going to Wapato Park. Back in the 80's, you were able to swim in Wapato Lake. I also was close to B&I and also the Starlight Drive-In across South Tacoma Way. Which is no longer a drive in theater. I have relatives that live in Tacoma still. I used to walk from 74th and Oakes St. straight down to the Tacoma Mall when I was teenager. I now live in Canon City, Colorado. I moved with my family in 1995,and have been in Colorado since. In 2021,I was able to make it back to Tacoma, to visit my relatives. The neighborhood I grew up in, sure has changed a lot. I remember Tacoma, like it was yesterday. I miss living in Tacoma, and want to move back home. I just thought I would share my story with you, and let you know that I enjoy your videos.

Thanks for watching, Katie! Downpayment Assistance is such an important tool for accessing homeownership. Especially for groups that have been excluded from homeownership due to systemic racism! There's so much more for me to learn, I'm glad you're liking it! :)

Yes, plenty of what she talks about applies to your clients in Vancouver as well. There are so many more programs out there to help people access homeownership in Washington State than many of us realize! And I'm glad you like the video format, hopefully I'll figure out a way to do some more this way!

Tacoma is the addhole of Seattle. They still working on the I-5? I left 6 years ago. Heard the homeless took over. They still charging a bridge toll for a bridge they paid off 30 years ago? I see the first part of the video was B roll from one of the three days you see blue skies per year cause it doesn’t match the weather out the window of that lecture. Terrific short 9/10 😂 would watch again

My grandparents lived on salmon Beach in one those homes from 1935 to 1950,it had one big room, wood burning stove, a toilet, no running water, the steps start at somewhere in the middle of the five mile drive through point defiance park, the stairs were put in sometime after 2006.

That is so cool! Not a lot of people in Tacoma have even visited Salmon Beach- much less grown up there. That is very cool!
