The attacks here are from small ass sharks that do zero damage. This is kinda like a falsified fact. Sure there are the most attacks here but most of the attacks are literally weak to the point where your completely fine. There have been attacks here that literally don’t even break the skin.

This is one of the worst and most uninformed videos I have ever seen.... You keep saying you're a new samurai but you are showing things from South daytona.... You are interviewing fishermen on the jetty in South daytona... You are showing a view of new samarna from the other side of the inlet while standing in daytona.... And then the worst thing of all you called tarpon bait fish.... The silver king or tarpon is the reason there is 20 million people in the state of Florida and that is absolute undisputed fact that fish made this state... And it is not a batefish...

It's one thing for a shark to mistake a human as a meal. It's another thing when we have people that think it's fun to try to grab them out of the water as they come closer to shore to eat as well as onshore fishing right next to swimmers. Makes perfect sense. Grew up at the beach and you get Resepect when you give respect. It's THEIR home not ours. You should know that when you enter the water and come into their territory or don't go into the water at all. Common sense plays a factor here.

Same thing happened to me. Was brushed or bumped on the leg around the knee area. Never saw it but looked to my left and could see something turn around in the water. Never saw a fin but could tell it circled by the water. Took off swimming and it never pursued me apparently.

I had a major shark encounter there! That was my family's vacation spot when I grew up in the 80s and 90s, my grandmother lived just a boardwalk away from the beach. I was about 10 years old and I was standing next to my father, fishing for Pompano in about knee to thigh deep crystal clear water. My dad is to the left of me, and I happen to glance to the left and behind him I see a giant 8 to 10 ft shadow in the Water swimming away from us! It was swimming parallel with the shore. That means, it approached us and swam maybe 3 to 5 ft behind me and my dad, before I was able to notice it! I'll never forget it, it just slowly swam away.

you don't want any smoke with one... trust me. Actually, bigger shakrs like bulls or great whites have a tendency to be much more straight forward when diving with them. A big bull shark will make it very clear where you stand with it, while reef sharks like blacktips are the ones you cannot keep your eye off because one minute they ok with you and the next they want you gone...

The term "over-fishing" is the biggest BS going around. Idiots decided to over-protect sharks (who are nothing more than scavengers) and that is why you have more shark attacks. Furthermore, with the advent of the internet, you now hear about a shark bite immediately when before you almost never heard about it before because it tended to be just another local issue. By the way, if you disagree, please provide a list of "their usual prey" -- and it can't just be all fish because then that's not a predator-prey relationship.

Why hasn’t there been like a polycarbonate forearm to hand and knee to foot, flexible armor thing invented yet for surfers? Something sturdy, light, and as mobile as the surfers to help them be protected against those shark bite moments? Or is it already a thing that isn’t used?

Kevlar or stainless mesh suit in the vein of an undersuit similar to afull lenth rashie wven into and lght but strong and flexible then the wetsuit over the top 2piece for ease of movement trouble is would they be bothered to wear it as with protective motorcycle gear it only works if your wearing it also a llife jacket type vest like body armor but again floattation i wonder how many attacks would have been abandonded if the shark couldnt get a clamp down bite or if what it was biting tasted of metallic or carbon the answer is outthere perhaps a 3pronged solution 1shark shield 2 kevlar body suit with gloves and booties in camoflauge colors 3motorised boards so you can get away quick and yes they do exist i guess it depends on the risk your prepared to take me i would have all three and invest in your chance of survival and your life even if it means having to spend money for safety but there is no guarantee 100percent you are just stacking the odds in your favor and im all for that 😊😊regards😊

The idea has been explored but it is too inconvenient and impractical not to even mention the environmental risks. There are better deterants and shark attacks are statistically very improbable but get the most media attention because media loves fear mongering. I've surfed in great whites waters my whole life, I've never seen one (probs a bunch have seen me ngl) and I can count more times I was nearly ended by another surfer or a big wave. Human beings just do things backwards when it comes to logic... Someone gets bit by a shark, people cry "let's kill sharks" but someone wipes out in a big wave and is never seen again, no one cries out "Lets make waves smaller".... honestly, the biggest hazard out there are other human beings and their boards.
@MountainKoi91
@MountainKoi91 2 жыл бұрын
That’s the risk of surfing - shark bites. Surf boards look like the underside of various shark prey species, so what do you expect? When you surf, you look like food and you’re in their turf. If you’re afraid of them, don’t surf or surf somewhere else. Just common sense, guys

@dreammaker9642
@dreammaker9642 2 жыл бұрын
turns out there isn't, the issue is actually more complex than that. Study I am referring to was conducted in austrelia but in general murky water and bullsharks is a very common bad idea, so if you head out you are partly asking for it. It's to each individual to assess the risk and make an informed decision, make the wrong one and your ignorance officially cost you.
