I’ve never had an issue overheating. But what I have had and many others have had. That’s an issue with the trigger switch causes issues. It may work and then it may not. For that reason it has become a shelf princess. I was impressed with it till that started happening.
@QuasiRandomFarmКүн бұрын
I haven't had any issues like that yet! Hope I don't! I have had a few issues with the battery overheating on the 20in. Then the trigger will not activate the chain until the battery is out of the over heated state
@QuasiRandomFarmКүн бұрын
Or I should say that's not an issue with the trigger persay,. But the overheating of the battery will not allow the saw to draw power so it will not activate. Once the battery is at a temp to allow power draw,. Then the trigger works again. It isn't random it's directly related to the battery heat

I have a hart 12 inch and a green works 18 inch 60v Both leak bar oil like crazy. It’s basically fill per use lol very very annoying. I’ve just started pouring a small amount and running it full bore a few seconds to let it soak the chain and then I wait till I need it, put in a liberal amount and cut. Run it full speed again before storing and if I lose what’s left after that no big deal
@QuasiRandomFarm6 күн бұрын
It does liberally use the bar oil ! 😂 I gotta say though, being able to just hit the button and go works great for me. Try storing it on the "right" side so the oil drop side is facing up. That has worked for me. Was irritated at first, but the utility of battery is just what I love 💕

@ My Shitzu lived to be 16 years old and she was feisty. We got her as a little bitty baby and by the time she stopped teething, we had to get a new dining room set because she chewed the legs off. One year 3 AM in November oh by the way her name was gizmo started barking so I got up to see what’s up. Looked outside and saw where the house across the street was on fire and out of 3 dogs. She was the only one that woke us up. We loved her so. We had to put her down Because she had cancer.😢 Gizmo weight 8 pounds. She got cremated with her beautiful picture on it and I’ll look at it every day and talk to her. We miss her so much. She was just pure love.❤️ ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

A "must have" for finer wood work? Biscuit jointers went out of style in the early 90's. Dowels and domino's are far superior. They are much more helpful with alignment and assembly, and they provide more strength to the joint. Return this stupid thing and get a JessEm dowel jig.
@QuasiRandomFarm20 күн бұрын
Everyone has their own preference bud. It's just a review of a tool. No reason to get so bent out of shape. Biscuit joiners keep things in alignment, if you know what I'm saying. Ba-dum tsssss Just messing with you 😂
@1averageamerican20 күн бұрын
@QuasiRandomFarm I'm not bent out of shape. Do your thing. Just giving my opinion. Dont comments on your videos help your channel? But saying biscuit joiners are a must-have is a little silly. I have an old Porter Cable. The same one Norm Abram used on New Yankee Workshop the 90's, and I used to use it a lot. I now have a very high quality dowel jig from JessEm. And without a doubt, dowels are far superior to biscuits in every way. And the jig and dowels cost less than a biscuit joiner and biscuits.

Does it hold metal cutting blades? Metal cutting blades are thinner than wood blades. I had a DeWalt 20v jigsaw a few years ago that did fine with wood cutting blades but it would spit out metal cutting blades... even the blades that came with the saw. I found out this was a known issue because lots of product reviews mentioned it though I'm not sure if it the same model as yours.
@QuasiRandomFarm25 күн бұрын
I will test a few and let you know. Thanks for the question !
@QuasiRandomFarm24 күн бұрын
I did a quick test (not serious cutting mind you). It held the metal cutting blade with no problems. Still would advise getting a metal cutting tool rather than using a jigsaw for that. Just my opinion!

Tools are not designed to hang from the battery. Storing them this way may slowly damage the battery connection over time.
