Gotta love everything about this. The format was so straight forward and easy to follow, Burgo and Adriana were so good, the theme music, the sound effects... even the wave at the end - simple and happy times.

The sad thing is that wasn't even real. I went to a Wheel Of Fortune taping around this era at Channel 7 Adelaide and after the round there was a board up with a list of around six prizes that you could choose from (the prizes changed from round to round) and John Deeks used to point to the most expensive prize on there they could afford and kept doing that until they spent their money.

Maybe they just want to make sure they solve a puzzle and not risk losing it to a Bankrupt. I watch the US Wheel a lot, and people do it on there all the time.

I don't recall an inflatable giraffe but if it's the video of the prize list then that was just for show. Our prizes were listed on a blackboard (no photos and a maximum of 8 prizes per round). We just picked and hoped for the best.

Only two consonants in the bonus round? That seems a bit odd. Then again, I've watched the American show for a long time. Still, I like this one as well. Well done, Mark.

Consonants were based on the contestant's score or cumulative score across nights if they hadn't won a bonus round. Ie: The higher the score, the more consonants you got, was no real limit, unlike here. Am from US too but seen enough of the Aussie format to know that.

They must have been after the format version. This show is trying to follow the 1981 format (December 1981 was when the Bonus Round was added to the show on a permanent basis in the United States). In the contestant interviews, Bryce was alluding to Madonna's "Justify My Love" music video from late 1990 that was banned from airing on MTv in the States.
