42mm or 46mm? I have a 6.5 in wrist..
@niklas.gustavssonКүн бұрын
@@gelotorresIt's hard to say, as watch size preferences seem to be a very subjective and personal choice. I have a ~6.8-inch wrist and feel comfortable wearing the Ultra at 49 mm in most situations, except at night, where I find it too bulky. However, I've always preferred smaller watches in general and think they look better aesthetically, both for traditional and smartwatches. The 42 mm version might actually be my all-time favorite size. I’ve really missed it since the Series 3 (when the larger size was 42 mm). But I think the easiest way to decide is to try both the 46 mm and 42 mm in-store. That way, you’ll know for sure.

Tough question. From a purely aesthetic perspective, I personally prefer the natural titanium variant over slate titanium. Fantastic review. Really appreciate the context. Couple questions... What resolution are you running on macOS? What resolutions / aspect ratios are you running with PBP? Are you able to get 120hz in PBP (for any or all of the inputs)? Thanks you!
@niklas.gustavsson3 күн бұрын
Thank you so much for the kind words and feedback! :) Regarding your questions about Picture-by-Picture (PbP): My Windows work laptop connects through one HDMI 2.0 port and one DisplayPort 1.4 port via a USB-C docking station. My personal MacBook Pro M2 Pro connects through an HDMI 2.1 port. In this setup, my Windows laptop fills the center 16:9 screen at 4K resolution (3840x2160), while the side sections for both laptops are each 1920x2160, giving them that 8:9 aspect ratio. Since my work laptop is limited to HDMI 2.0 and DisplayPort 1.4, I’m stuck at 60Hz on both the 16:9 4K screen and the 1920x2160 side screens when using this layout. However, if I switch it up and display my MacBook Pro on the center 16:9 screen, the side screens connected to my work laptop behave differently: the DisplayPort-connected screen can run at 120Hz in 1920x2160 resolution, while the HDMI 2.0-connected screen is still capped at 60Hz. The MacBook Pro M2 Pro, with its HDMI 2.1 port, can handle 120Hz no matter if I’m using PiP or just displaying one screen at full resolution (7680x2160). I hope that answered your questions :)
@markaceto2 күн бұрын
@@niklas.gustavsson thanks for the quick and detailed reply! You must have incredible vision to be able to read 2160 on a screen that height. Even with reading glasses, I max out at 1890 on a 32" display, so I'm hoping to achieve 1800 on a 57" display (same physical height as a 32") by flexibly scaling the Mac's resolution using BetterDisplay (might step down to 60hz as a result). I'm also hoping to achieve a 60/40 PBP (Mac/Windows). The Samsung manual says 4:3 is an option when "PC/AV Mode is set to AV" so that would be 55/45 but the res seems limited to 1080 or 2160 (as you're using it at 2160). BTW you may be able to bump the work laptop's RR to 120hz in the graphics card settings.

Fabric or mesh?
@niklas.gustavsson14 күн бұрын
I would say it’s a matter of personal preference. Personally, I haven’t tried the fabric version, but from what I’ve read from others who have bought it, it seems to be a bit firmer than the mesh version - which can be both good and bad. I’ve seen some people mention that if you’re a bit heavier, the fabric version might actually be preferable. However, it’s worth noting that the seat on the fabric version is slightly shorter than on the mesh version. If possible, the safest option is probably to test it in-store, since we’re all built differently and have different preferences. :) Personally, I’ve completely switched to mesh because it breathes so well, and you can sit for long periods without it getting too warm.

Hello Niklas! Great review. I do have a question about the chair: how does the armrest feel when you recline the seat? does they slide back or remaing in place? Im worried about the slidiness of the armrests in various positions. Also, the seat seems pretty "short" in depth compared to other chairs. It is noticeable?
@niklas.gustavsson14 күн бұрын
Hi there! Thanks a lot for the kind words :) Regarding your questions. I haven’t actually had any issues with the armrests moving as I lean back in the chair. As for the seat depth, I’m 190 cm tall and have adjusted it to the maximum length, which is almost perfect for me. Do keep in mind that the depth differs slightly between the mesh version and the fabric version, with the latter being a bit shorter. Also, since I’m relatively slim (83 kg), I do believe the seat depth can probably feel a bit short if you have a more muscular lower body.

Tjena Johnny!

Hey Niklas 🙂 Thank you for the nice video. One question regarding the synchronize mechanism: Does it have forward tilt as well or just backrest tilt? I mean, does the seat synchronize your movmement when leaning forward or sidewards? Do you feel any pressure on your legs, if you sit a longer time on the chair? Thank you in advance 🙂
@niklas.gustavsson29 күн бұрын
Hi Eleonora! 🙂 Good question! The chair does not have forward tilt for the seat itself. So it basically only synchronizes with your movement as you lean back. However, Fractal has a mechanism they call “synchro-tilt,” which means that both the backrest and the seat move in tandem as you lean back. It actually feels very nice, like the backrest hugs your back even during recline. Check out their website if you want a more visual representation of the movement. They have a short video demonstrating it. But no, no forward tilt for the seat itself. 🙂 In terms of pressure on my legs, this is probably one of the most comfortable seats I’ve tested so far. There is padding under the mesh on the front part of the seat, which is the area that, at least in my experience, usually causes some fatigue and pressure during long sessions. I’ve felt none of that during the days I’ve used this chair.
