I made my own sensor instead of buying the module. My sensor is 14 cm wide with 4 pairs of IR LEDs. My perfboard still has some space to add 2 more sensors. It's wider than manufacturer module. Is it ok? I haven't tried on my robot car yet. Do I need thicker black tape for sensor to read?
