Bought this Asus for my series X , thought I had to have 120hz for COD , bought the LG GP83B , game movement felt a little smoother when panning camera but my kill to death ratio was the same,ranked same, did not like the fog in the pannel for all games, returned it & got back the very same Asus VG289, the detail was superior and frame rate was solid,turned off HDR, scenery mode was my fav 👍🏽

VA is fine, if the film/screen has advanced technologies to handle the color change on each pixel or frame insertions. But as a monitor, no. Monitors are more expensive than TVs of the same size and features because monitors are designed to be the best at up close, details.

When attaching the battery pack, you’ll notice the bottom charging ring will be a different color. For the real one, the color of the ring will be white. For the fake, it will be green. Not sure if this should be the “sole” indicator to authenticate, but maybe it helps.

Just be careful peeling the protective cover of the double-sided tape on the R and L inserts. I wasn't, and peeled one tape right off. Otherwise, an easy upgrade to my 7 year old QC 25 headphones. Next will be the headband.

We are being SCAMMED as consumers this monitor in your review as ALL IPS and Nano IPS monitors are pure GARBAGE - there should be a class action lawsuit - all these monitors and technology in general should be banned, they should never have allowed this crap to be sold on the market, it is horrible, blacks do not exist, look on this frame here as proof @5:38, even my decade old TN panel is deep blacks with all lights turned off in room, dark grey and uniform, look at the frame @5:38 this is HORRIBLE and unacceptable, the glow is all over the fucking place, look at his videos with letterbox the bars are not black but glowing, the colours are unimpressive and do look bad - you cannot compare OLED with LCD though, but OLED has burnin and colour shifting and other issues, ALL monitors suck, I'd choose a TN panel over VA's black colour blur and whole image motion blue, and IPS's light glow and terrible blacks, anytime, the trade off of TN is well worth it, VA and IPS panels should be a CRIME, they never should have been allowed to market when the laws are EXTREMELY noticeable.
