hi I noticed my crimp bead doesnt fit in the crimp covers. when squashed its more long and the cover is round.Is this normal? Also do you have a suggestion to keep gold plated clasps and extension chains gold and not tarnish? I know it's costume jewellery so not real gold but I want my clients to buy a product that will last for a while

That’s what I use for a lot of beading; look for at least a 6lb fishing line or higher for durability🙂 Crimp the ends gently-it can cut through the fishing line if you squeeze too hard.

DaedalFactotem thank you!!! I always have the hardest time with the crimps and lobster clasps and it’s probably because I’m clamping down with a ton of force-thinking that would be more secure! 😭

Kristina Sacilotto For this project we are using an acculon .018 For our adult mask chains we use soft flex in the same thickness

Nana Ayala For this kids project we used Acculon wire. It is firm and easy for kids to string on but also strong. In general we try to use soft flex wire as much as possible.

So. Question. The left over wire that is tucked into the beads. Will that never stick out and jab anyone in the face?

Elena thanks for your question! If the left over wire is buried, and the piece doesn’t have too much slack, then it shouldn’t ever pop out. If it does, you can always trim it closer to the crimp. Having the extra wire tucked is ideal, but not required for something so light weight like this. Let me know if you have any more questions or need help.
