This is certainly a meet up of young and ascending super-stars. It's great to see a new generation making music so wonderfully. I think Lahov is a young conductor/pianist to watch.

As a Jew, I have listened to many orchestras playing this piece, I even learned to play it myself on the piano, but nothing can compare to the Israeli Phhilharmonic playing it, and hearing the backdrop to the founding of the IPO, originally the home of Holocaust survivors and their children who were musicians. The piece de resistance is their playing Ha Tikva in Germany, through their tears. We shall NEVER FORGET! Can we ever forgive?

Interpretazione deboluccia... non prende.. il virtuosismo è forzoso, con numerose arbitrarieta' fuori stile, il dialogo fra strumenti solisti e orchestra è poco fluido , quasi impacciato...suonimo i gospel che è meglio...( sono violoncellista )

Ah Mr Mehta, I missed an opportunity years ago, I think it was in the 1980s when I lived in Orange County, California, to see him conduct at a concert in Costa Mesa. I also saw him a few times on TV. I loved his facial expressions and the tenderness he showed for the music and to his musicians. He is just my favorite.

What a lovely warm-hearted funny story and presentation. Our two-year-old sat with rapt attention for the entire 33 minutes of it, fully engaged. We will definitely be returning to this again!
