Thankyou for your full and very informative video,do you know of the process is the same for the later 59 plate engine,failed mot on emissions again so I'm leaning towards injectors as not as easy to start once its warmed up,this is after the fun of doing two rear hub seals 😢😂 the fun certainly continues

This is just what I need to know, my ford transit had a blocked injector and this video help me to get back on the road. Thank you from Tasmania Australia. Can you supply a full list of all the parts in the injector, eg: shim on the top of the spring to adjust the run pressure, the injector seal washer, is there a screen filter insert in the top of the injector also?. what about the two seal washers for the return bleeder tube as well. Can you also suggest where to get these parts from here in Australia. Regards Eric

Where did the little washer go you said not to reuse. I didn't see u re fit a new one. I put some good diesel out out a dirty barrel and got oil substance coming from injector rubber. Am I best changing the rubber seals or going full on injector clean. I'm not a mechanic nor do I have a sonic machine u cleaned them with

Will this stop reverse being selected?

Ordered a 21mm deep socket ready to do the job while waiting for the switch. Replacement switch is 22mm. Switch on the gearbox is also 22mm. NOT 21MM. Thankfully I'd bought a set of offset spanners too.

These injectors aren't checked on a benchmark.. They runs, but not optimal.. The test on a special bench, create a C2I code, written on a ring around the head.. That needs to be written in the engine processor to make it run better..

Mine was located further back and higher up...2008, 2.4 litre engine 6 speed gbox..bugger to get a spanner on..took the wiring connection clip off..just depress the little tag and put a paper clip into each hole in the wired socket..with ignition on all working fine so has to be the switch, propped a mirror up at the back so I could see the reversing lights...had to remove and clean the switch ...remove from the gearbox 22mm spanner...depress the little ball with vice grips gentle and spay n flush the bejesus out of it with WD40..works fine now...and so does my reversing camera which is on the reversing lights circuit...wahoo
