Ok, since finishing this video I am kind of stuck in a Ruby hell. Since the extension we created appears to rely on Ruby, I have installed the Ruby environment and msys2. I now cannot run npm run dev or shopify app dev, without this error: ── external error Error coming from `bundle install` It seems there are issues with the latest Shopify CLI and Ruby

Ok, I got out of hell. If anyone else got in trouble here, this is my setup on Windows 11. I uninstalled Ruby, msys2. I uninstalled Shopify CLI and reinstalled a specific version: npm uninstall -g @shopify/cli npm install -g @shopify/[email protected] (tried this specific version) I installed this version of Ruby (Previously I did not include devkit): Ruby+Devkit 3.3.5-1 (x64) I restarted my computer then tried shopify app dev command again and it worked

Ultimately I could install latest CLI again, the problem was just the Ruby install needed the devkit
