I eat meat. I wear fur, leather, silk and pearls.

i wear vintage sheepskin/shearling and have no ethical issue with it at all. same as wool/leather sheepskin is a biproduct of the already existing food industry so even new stuff i dont have an issue with (other than the price) mink/fox etc furs where they are bread just to be killed for fur while wasting the rest of the animal is what i take issue with. most people unfortunately dont know the difference between shearling sheepskin and fur though. that being said ive never had anyone give me so much as a look while wearing it and even if they did, i dont care. i find the Faux materials to be MUCH more unethical as they are produced for the most part by either exploited underpaid workers or in the worst case, slaves. it doesn't last anywhere near as long for the most part, and when you do throw it away it sits in landfill for 1000 years poisoning the planet.
