Love the lines at 2:37 , it shows how just because the clone wars are over and theres a new rule doesnt mean all ideologies just died, there are still some very real people willing to fight for them

I absolutely love the fondor hulcraft but if it was my personal ship i would definitely get rid of the partical emitters for a ion cannon & hidden variable torpedo launcher... I feel like for the emitters to be helpful against starfighters youd half to have somthing like the force helping you to constantly pull that move off.. myalef id probably never be able to do it.. but if i could give control of the double lazer cannon turret to the fonder droid i could definitely hit something with fwr lazer cannons, ion cannons & torpedos lol

I'm a star wars cosplayer and writer (hobbyist not for Lucasfilm). I had to slow down the first 20 seconds. I have an imperial cosplay its 100% screen accurate and I had to make sure my belt closes the same way its shown on screen - it does. As for writing the "this is why we recruit so carefully " line puts my writing in a tight sport of ( NON Canon/ Fanon nonsense VS Canon ) so I will have to justify why one of my characters got 'recruited'

Syril caused a lot of trouble on Ferrix. I wonder if ISB will try to hire him in season 2! The guy is good at sniffing out trouble, but not great at executing a plan.

Indeed. We'll be diving more into these characters throughout this year for sure. Syril was definitely a well written character on the show.

The one thing missing from this scene is an aft Torpedo Fox 3rd right before Hyper jump where at first the Commander shakes his head, then someone says "Commander! Incoming missile" and we see it coming straight for the command deck and we see the impact at the last moment, blowing out the glass.

The question posed by your 'What If' is the point of "Andor". The belligerence, oppression and cruelty of the Empire is what will cause it's destruction. In a world where a man can't even look a certain way without officers of the law insulting, badgering and ultimately threatening him, rebellion is inevitable. Fill an area with feces, it becomes a cesspool. Fill that same area with flowers and walkways, it becomes a garden.

Cassian portrays one that has had a shit life, tired, over worked, seeing the corruption, and just done with "authorities" bullshit. I do think he was short sighted in the matter as these were contractors working for a corporation that was paid by the Empire to curtail any resistance, that also had the resources to get extra authority to then raid Ferrix for the slaying of 2 of their agents. We can see later he realized he fucked up when they identified themselves and it was kill and live another day but royally fucked up when it would draw the eyre of the corpos that knew more of the area than the Empire itself. In essence Andor put the bullseye on the people which eventually added the Empire invasion into the equation. I feel this was just the building block for our hero's mistakes to shed light on how much more fucked the system really was and that is saying a lot considered how transparent the Empire made themselves seen and feared. Would we consider Andor as an antihero, perhaps through the whole series? Perhaps Season 2 shows his transformation into a hero.
@Bossman-mu6qe10 күн бұрын
I saw this similar to when American forces where occupying Afghanistan, Iraq, and parts of Syria. I do like how the Empire uses security forces instead of their own troops, as contractors to do the dirty work that they could wash their hands of if the contractors take wrong procedures and take innocent lives. The Empire could just wash their hands and just say "it wasn't me". There are so many parallels in real life towards how the people of Ferrrix respond towards outside governmental agencies that come into their territory.

At the end of the day it's just a bunch of guys who are not only passionate but also competent in the work they do. This scene could be removed from the context of Star Wars and I think people would still find it just as compelling with how relatable these characters and situations come across. Andor's pinnacle writing accomplishment was to take the Star Wars world and bring it down to a very fundamental human level. The costumes, set design and all those things that look 'Star Wars' merely fall into the background and you forget you're even watching Star Wars at all.

I just realised, Luthen has acquired more stolen equipment from Steergard, the same place Cassian took the Starpath unit from. I wonder if he always had them, or if he took Cassian's advice and sent some other thief in with a uniform and a toolkit, taking them out from under the Empire's nose

As one of the only two women in that room, one can understand why dedra had to work harder than her male coworkers. She will always be underestimated just because she is a she. Specially in a space dictatorship where we barely see non humans in high ranks of power, and of course, barely any women. The fact that dedra was able to demonstrate her worth says a lot about her character and conviction. She and her assistant had to stay up until very late to figure out the hole rebel network. And is kinda funny that of all people her assistant was the first to believe in her. Someone who was underestimated and look upon as much as her
