This was a terrifying fight, tbh. I mean, there were definitely other fights I found HARDER than this one. But this was genuinely stressful. Vincent is so fast and powerful, and I found myself easily overwhelmed during my first attempt.

I already had the suspicion when I saw it back in the original, but I think Rebirth pretty much confirmed: This thing is a scrapped Weapon.

1:48-2:40 is my absolute favorite part of this whole track. You're anticipating the electric guitar rift from Advent Children, but it doesn't rip. Instead, the guitar only holds a note, and it fades, before the track suddenly gives a desperation feel with all the woodwind instruments running up and down melodically. Almost as if to symbolize Sephiroth's sudden desperation in wanting to get rid of Aerith, but she absolutely refuses to just fade away, even after being killed by Sephiroth. This version of Sephiroth knows full well what his fate entails if Cloud succeeds against him in the eventual final battle at the end of Part 3. How much more unhinged can Sephiroth in his actual One Winged Angel form and Safer Sephiroth get? The ending fight sequence in part 3 is going to be even more crazier and even more off the rails (in a good way). I have a feeling we will actually get to fight Jenova in a human form (Aerith?) alongside Sephiroth in the end. All I know is that I will for sure enter panic mode the moment he attempts to cast Supernova on the party, and I. can't. Wait!

I'm so glad the XIV community have their own name for Gilgamesh so I know who to avoid.

Fun fact: Chadley explains that Gilgamesh Island works as some sort of bridge between multiple dimensions (which is the entire reason Gilgamesh himself was dragged in the FFVII universe). So yeah, this *was* a "Battle on a Big Bridge".

What i loved about this game is that there were many moments where you were forced to play as other charcters other than cloud. I loved that. Gives us an opportunity to understand a characters moveset. Fuck Cait Sith though
