I have the G5 which I still rank above all the most recent releases from the major brands and accredit it largely to the tube exciter, but have seen demos of this and somehow, it seems like it might be better. I have a background in engineering and always feel digital units need a final stage post D.A. converter that's Class-A analog to purify the digital sound, but they've all moved away from this. *Ultimately, all the sounds out of this thing sound phenomenal so maybe I will get my hands on one someday.*

Zoom gets you close. If you put a real tube pre pedal behind it, you won't be able to tell a difference.

Nice sounds. Does the volume cut out when you change patches with a foot press while playing? This happens on my old gfx.

Yes, there is a short cut in the audio when you change a patch. But if you are inside a patch, activating/deactivating an effect has no audio cut. This is how I use the pedal, in stomp mode inside a patch.

With patience and working down your tones... yeah why not.... I created my own David gilmour tones which are actually really hard So you need to put time and efforts to it
