Your closeup shots are the best. Great job. Thank you for taking the time to do this video. One missed item was the tip used? I saw #5s being used but needed to be filed down. Some just put a notch in its end, i think that lets it compress to a smaller size? What are the details on the tip used? thanks

Never had one detonate? I mean I’m about to try it so if I’m a few fingers short I’ll send an update but it’s just staggering how you can’t buy just the butane cartridges for them separately. So you end up with hundreds of extra blue patches if you buy their products as intended, if this works continuously it’s the best money saving method for sure

This is not a Blood Knot. The knots (your and the BK) have a center and two branches, each branch has a twisted line pair moving away by the center. In your knot each pair move away from center by rotating in the SAME direction In the BK the line pairs have an OPPOSITE direction of rotation for each branch.

The tags need to be twisted in opposite directions for it to have the strength of a true blood knot, this will slip if using braid to mono or floro.

You should not twist the brass piece any more than you have to to pull it out. It will come straight out. The twisting motion tends to erode the hard plastic & when you push the brass part back in it may not seal as well as it needs to....

Hej, followed the instructions to the letter and went even to class ohlsson to buy same gas and screws. All goes as planned until I try to refil It massively leaks on the side and barely fills the tank. Any tips on that?

Måste få tajt passning på flaskans smånipplar, test vilken som passar bäst, vänd upp ner på fyllflaskan så du verkligen fyller rakt ner i thrmacell behållaren! Lycka till.

It works. I ran down to the boat in the forest, had it with me and suddenly realized I was attacked by 100s of them. When I can back, I found that I had ran out of gas in the cartridge so it had stopped

The problem is that the Pads themselves are more expensive then buying the combo making this not more cost effective. 12 Mats are $15 where 30 with canisters are $39 so roughly the same but you get the fuel too.

Do you have and use a thermocell? I ask because I always have so many blue pads left over when my butane is gone (for a number of reasons that I could explain if you're interested 😂) So if you don't already have one, you might be surprised how much faster the butane goes than the blue pads, making the ability to refill still cost effective and helpful to extend the time between buying refills.
