This method is striking with the knuckles so you can use the bag as a tool for quickly turning your hands over and under when punching.

Hi! Sorry for the delay. You can wear 8oz or 10oz. If you are grabbing a pair of the hybrid Tussle gloves you would get smalls.

Good tutorial Cary - this is boxing stance fundamentals; if you're balance, and, therefore your weight transference is bad, you're going to lose - unless the opponent is unable to do it too. Then it just becomes a farce, not, a boxing match. Thanks for uploading.

1. It slows you down- Keeping tension in the core allows for a quicker retraction to move into another punch or denfense. Also helps to create the snap. 2. It can make you stuck in the mud- If you twist your feet, you are unable to move your feet quickly to get out of the way from a punch or to change angles. Most traienrs teach twisting th efeet because they are trying to get their student to rotate the body. Also, there are traienrs with fight experience who may hav ebeen bangers and never moved when they fought. Take a punch to give a punch type of fighter. There is more to it, but hopefully this helps!

By the way, spoke to a coach about overrotating the feet in Soviet boxing. He voiced a rather interesting opinion that today boxing is much faster and that back in the says everything was much slower. What do you think about that? :)

After watching this I found out I've been rotating my foot too much during my punches especially on the heavy bag, no wonder my knees and ankles felt sore/weak. Thank you for this life saving video otherwise i could have ended up on a wheelchair from over-rotating my ankles!
