Sir. I wanted to learn breakdance. I downloaded your book " The Encyclopedia of Breakdancing". But the videos in it don't open or work. Can you help me. I am crazy about learning it. But i need a right idea about where to start. What to learn first and how and when to progress to the next level. And also i am not from america and i cannot afford to pay. If you have a playlist of your totorial i can follow up, it would be very helpful.

Looking into it, in the meantime look at the tutorials on the website and the videos on the youtube channel. Any other feedback is appreciated

Started going to a trampoline hall at 37 years. At 40 and for the first time I could bring myself trying a backflip from trampoline in a foam pit. Never thought even the attempt would be possible for me. But, I guess you are right - trampoline and normal ground are quite different topics. But, I always tried to be clean in my technique... will see how far I can come in the near future. Unfortunately, sprained my ankle badly during the landing of a front flip on the trampoline some months ago. Hopefully will return soon. Did you also try front flips and have tips for those?
@theBreakdancingNinjaАй бұрын
Yes I do front flips. Front flips are harder but not as scary. You can rehab your ankles and get them stronger. You can front flip into the pit, then on a mat into the pit as a substitute for the trampoline.

By the way … how old are you? I’m 51 and I think there’s too old an age for the backflip.
@theBreakdancingNinjaАй бұрын
I'm 42 right now. One of the students in the video is 49. One of the coaches at my gym is 70 and he still flips but on the trampoline. If you are able to get stronger you should be able to flip if you spend the time conditioning. The older you are the more time you need to spend conditioning.
@thetaxiuclaАй бұрын
@@theBreakdancingNinja Heh, I’m extremely athletic for 51 I should say, maybe an anomaly. After just starting really last year I won the Jiu Jitsu world championship for Masters 5 in San Diego and got double silver at UCLA Worlds in gi and no gi. I beat 20 year olds all the time. I also do high level Breakdancing even on this KZbin channel no one my age does. I could always back flip. But needing so much more time to stretch, I see no reason to back flip.
@thetaxiuclaАй бұрын
@@theBreakdancingNinja I must be subscribed to your channel because of the breakdancing. I’m thinking you’re the guy who had a windmill tutorial.

@@thetaxiucla No real reason to flip, George St. Pierre did flip training because he liked the explosiveness of it. And I am the guy that did a windmill tutorial.

Thank you for your videos and ongoing commitment to breaking. Injuries, you got me - any time I'm injured I have an illogical focus on what I can't do, putting myself at further injury risk, rather than focusing on what I can do. Thanks for the awareness. Hope your training is going well.

I am an old school Bboy and been breaking since 81. I even auditioned for the movie "Beat Street". Every year or so, I do some windmills just to see if I still can. I have always wanted to do Flares. Never knew how. I am now 57, and I was recently sick as a dog. I had a bout of Cholera. I have decided to get back in shape by way of breakin. And your videos are a source of relief for me. I'm the guy who got rid of Bboying/Breakin that most of y'all started started doing.... but as a expert and former professional break dancer, most of these moves that were done!!!! Was part of a zeitgeist where someone destroyed the old one before the one that I destroyed back in 2022 was Destroyed. most of these moves are dangerous to attempt these days, especially since I destroyed the old one back in 2022 that most of y'all were using..... so I destroyed the old break dance, but this break dance here in the Movie was destroyed years before I started break dancing!
