Thanks for posting! Just got OEM air shocks (no magnaride) for $125 each (+ shipping) from RockAuto. Thought I walked into a disaster with this air shock situation, but this is cheap and easy!!

I’m about to do the same thing with me Escalade. The compressor keeps going off and the ride is a bit rough so I know the shocks are done. Will be doing the work myself too

i cant find the correct part. when i look it up everyone that i see has an electric plug at the top. the one in your video does not and the one on my vehicle doesnt either

The ones in the front are different and have plug on top. Look for rear shocks

I'd say at least 80 lbs or more. Probably best to be lifted by 2 ppl.

When you compared old shocks to new, it appears that your old shocks don't have a wire on the top like the new ones do. I am experiencing that too. Unfortunately the wire was not mentioned in the video when the new shocks were installed so i'm not sure how that was addressed. Just leave that wiring hanging? Is there a connector to plug it into?

Hi. I had to look it up as well. These shocks can also fit the Tahoes with magnetic ride. The wire keeps the computer from giving error code. If you dont have magnetic ride then you dont use it. I tucked it in and left it alone. I suppose you could cut it as well. Magnetic ride was available on LTZ and Premier models. Mine is a LT.

I seen there is ac Delco shocks with just the airline & not with the wires , I bought the same ones like in your video … with the wire … there Arnott , are they better then the ac Delco? Cuz price difference is pretty big

My mechanic wants to order them from the Chevy Dealer at 425.00 a piece. For the parts and labor, it would have cost me 1375.00. Thanks to your video, it's parts and my time. BIG FAT THUMBS 👍 to you, sir, for showing us the way to do this. I will call and order my 2 rear air shocks today. Thank

Awesome. Im no mechanic but this was achievable with normal tools. To be honest, it took me longer to lift the darn thing and remove the tire than the actual shock lol. Good luck

This is a 4x4 17 tahoe with auto leveling. Shock has built in Air bag can fit either rear side. I dont have magnetic ride. Replacement non oem from autozone Arnott Suspension Air Shocks AS-3066 1 at $347.99
