My Samsung freezer is totally dead...the fridge works fine. Tried all the resets, checking coils, etc. Nothing helps. The Flex zone wire harness is broken, but up until the freezer stopped working, the deli drawer or Flex Zone drawer was cool enough for cheese, etc. The fridge is 3° and the freezer is 14°. This Samsung RF31MESBSR fridge has been a headacge from the beginning. The ice maker always had issues, totally freezing up. Any other ideas why this freezer is dead?

Samsung usually only sells those as part of the door assembly. Some other manufactures sell them separately and call them a Door Thimble.

If after replacing the suspension rods, the tub seems to bounce up too high and gets out of balance still; is there a part that keeps the tub from bouncing too high? On the suspension rods, what is the small cone plastic piece above the spring?
@PartsDr22 сағат бұрын
The small cone looks like it is probably a splash shield. Did you replace the suspension rods with the correct OEM ones for your model washer?
@gusgusinsky22 сағат бұрын

@@gusgusinsky Usually if the washer is still getting out of balance after replacing the suspension rods, we find that the bearings in the gearcase are failing and causing the washer to get out of balance. Look on the bottom of the washer for residue leaking from the bottom of the gearcase area. Sometimes when the bearings fail they will start to leak slowly a brownish colored residue. kzbin.info/www/bejne/iJK2qY13gs6Lg5o

Thanks very much for the clear instructions. I have just replaced all the suspension components. One thing additional to your guidance - the rear right suspension rod is more complex to replace because the drain pipe attaches to it and there is a thin pipe and cable to thread around the top part of the suspension cap.

On your website, you mentioned that "There is no filter bypass needed to bypass this water filter. To bypass the water filter you will just need to remove the water filter from the refrigerator." However, when I remove the filter, water doesn't go to the ice-maker or to the water dispenser. Is there any additional step required to bypass the water filter and ensure water goes from the water supply line to the water dispenser / ice maker?
@PartsDrКүн бұрын
What does it say in the owners manual for your model refrigerator?
@PranavTelangКүн бұрын
@PartsDr it's a RF28JBEDBSR and the manual makes no mention of filter bypass. Even the sections that speak about the water filter do not discuss how it can be bypassed

@@PartsDr So, that implies that if I remove the water filter and reset the filter light, water will go directly from the supply line to the water/ice dispenser? I think this has to be the problem with mine. I just bought an entire pump and motor assembly. I’m thinking I either forgot to attach one of the wires or attached them backwards because water sprays from the top and sides but the lower spray arm doesn’t spin at all. They’re not clogged (I ran water thru them in the sink after removing it). So I have a brand new pump and motor that included a new diverter but maybe I wired it backwards.. I’ll find out on Sunday when I’m off and can look at it… actually I just watched video closely and it looks like the two wires have different snap ends so I couldn’t have put them on backwards… but maybe I didn’t put them all the way in or something. I’ll know in a couple days

That's strange, you usually can't connect the wires backwards. Let us know what you find.

@ well, the one that came on the new pump/motor must’ve been bad because I bought a replacement and it worked. The two wires were hooked up correctly so it must’ve been bad, that’s all I can think of. The replacement was only $17 so it’s all good now. Thanks for responding
