Hello Stephen!! I'm a Level 1 IHP and wanting to get certified as a personal trainer, maybe ACSM. Is it tough to mesh together both of these things, as far as training someone who wants to change their body, say, for a competition? Because I know as an IHP too much protein is not healthy long term but will transform the body. And have you done any podcast on what amount you can charge having both of these certifications? Thank you!!!
@IntegrativeHealthPractitioner2 ай бұрын
Thank you so much for reaching out! Congratulations on becoming a Level 1 IHP-what a great foundation you've built! Combining your IHP certification with personal training, such as ACSM, can be incredibly effective in helping clients achieve their body transformation goals while maintaining a holistic approach to their health. As for pricing, we’ve covered that in a few episodes! Head on over to IHP/Coach/Podcast and in the drop down menu select "Charging For Services." While these episodes are not specific to having an IHP Health Coaching Certification and a Personal Training Certification, it will be a great place to start. Best of luck with your continued certifications-you're on an amazing path!

Doesn't being a health coach defeat the purpose of being a Naturopathic Doctor? Health coaching ultimately takes money away from doctors whose primary income source comes from treating diseases.
@aderoag2 ай бұрын
Being a health coach and a naturopathic doctor are actually complementary, not contradictory. While naturopathic doctors focus on diagnosing and treating diseases, health coaches support people in making sustainable lifestyle changes, addressing habits, nutrition, and wellness goals. This can prevent illness or improve well-being alongside medical care. Instead of taking money away from doctors, health coaching can work hand-in-hand with them to provide more comprehensive care, focusing on prevention and long-term health, reducing the burden on the healthcare system.

Thank you for this beautiful explanation. 💚

@@aderoag Very well said

lmao if you think doctors actually treat diseases your crazy, they treat symptoms, holistic coaching treats the root of the problem
@aderoag9 күн бұрын
@@TushTheTerrible We are specifically talking about naturopathic doctors, not allopathic ones. This distinction is important because allopathic docs often treat symptoms, while naturopathic docs aim to address the root causes with a more holistic approach. Health coaching plays a role in supporting these holistic efforts by encouraging lifestyle changes that help sustain wellness.
