Why don’t you use a reptile fogger instead of a bucket of water with a ultrasonic fogger thingy
@drewdrozynski2422
@drewdrozynski2422 2 ай бұрын
Reptile foggers may or may not produce enough fog to keep the humidity high enough, depending on what you're growing. With this setup you can add as many ultrasonic fogger discs as you need to keep the humidity up where you want it. Also you can replace the discs in these when they get corroded or clogged. If you want to try a reptile fogger be my guest, it's the same basic technology and if your martha is small enough it might be fine.

Hahaha, I assumed everybody had given up on me and unsubscribed! Life got in the way, sorry! I don't have a working Martha right now but maybe I can do a reaction video to my earlier one and tell you everything I'd do differently now. Glad you enjoyed the nerd night talk! I plan to do another on foraging and maybe another on growing your own.

You made a little mistake. You are intercirculating the air between the chamber tent and the room, because you take air from the room into the box, and then into the tent which put pressure into the tent by pulling the mist out in your room. To solve the issue, you must have a second pipe from the tent bottom directed to the fan on the box. This is how you only circulate the humid air from tent. Second thing, you can't have ribbed tube for this setup. Its inefficient for the misted air to travel between ribs. A big amount of mist stays on the ribbed exhaust tube, dripping back in the box. Not good. You must use a static pvc pipe with flat surface vertically. Ribbed top extention is ok to have flexibility. But vertically, the tubing must be straight pipe. You gonna save 20% on electricity usage on the fogger to maintain up to 95% humidity in the chamber. Also, you need to make a digital wifi controllers for android phone, where you can use multiple things. One wifi controller set up for heating and temperature controling. Second wifi controller for air co2 oxygen exchange up to 8 changings per hour. Plus hepa filter and air exchange coming from outside. Another wifi controller for fogger humidity (wifi controller hydrostat). This measures the humidity in your tent. The growing tent must be placed outdoor. Must be insulated from the weather chaging. Heating must be done with vinyl protected usb warming pads. Air fans with hepa filters to stop air poluants and tiny flies to go into the chamber. Insulating the chamber saved heating energy. You need a 1.2kwh lifepo4 battery 24v 50Ah. 1 solar panel 400w. Dc step up or step down controller wired between battery and consumers so you can have regulated voltage and make mushrooms with solar energy

Infections was the wrong word, perhaps. Light in your water box promotes growth of mold and algae, which is both annoying to clean and molds can contaminate your grow.

@drewdrozynski2422
@drewdrozynski2422 2 жыл бұрын
@@DidooDalwen any normal filter is going to get clogged with spores really fast. I haven't tested it, but thought about a long dryer hose loosely stuffed with polyfill as a filter. You'd still need to replace it or wash the stuffing pretty regularly, but it would be cheap and effective. I also thought about a system that bubbles the exhaust through water to try to trap the spores but i don't know how effective that would be.
@DidooDalwen

@@drewdrozynski2422 The water filter is a great idea and may solve my problem as all my windows are fixed (cannot open). I'll try to find information about spore survival in water. Spores range from 5 to 22 µm in diameter so, as you say, it probably clog pretty fast but basic filter should work. Thanks for the video, it's awesome.

Thanks for showing this build, looks great! I have only grown in small chambers and used small spray bottles for humidity so far. Spray bottles can be put in a dishwasher, and essentially sterilized to prevent contamination. How do you prevent your fogger from contaminating your stuff? You’d think having a big bucket of water (covered or not) would eventually wind up growing some type of bacteria that would then be pumped into your chamber. Has this been an issue for you? Or do you use preventative measures like hydrogen peroxide in your humidifier? Or am I paranoid? I tried to use a cheap cool mist humidifier for one grow and my shit contamed so bad I never tried it again.
@drewdrozynski2422
@drewdrozynski2422 3 жыл бұрын
I never had any issues, but I took the whole setup apart once a month for a deep clean (with frequent wipe downs in between). If I had to do it over again, I would have made every single connection be a temporary coupling so I could disassemble faster for cleaning. Hydrogen peroxide in the water doesn't make much sense to me - it turns into water and oxygen within a few minutes so it's not a good solution. I've heard good things about adding oxine to the water, but never tried it. Honestly the biggest contam issue with this whole setup is the dryer hose - that thing is impossible to clean thoroughly and should probably be replaced with pvc.
