Our advanced 8th grade band got this and being a 7th grader last year, we were all in awe. And at the end of the year when we were all done with concerts, I even got to sightread the snare part :)
@davionjones59675 жыл бұрын
oh yea and we're just and we're just an 8th grade band moving into our freshman year and we perfected this piece in a month and a half i believe

no offense but i feel like my band director took it a bit faster and the clarinet part at 150 literally wanted to kill my self

We sight-read this peace Monday and we got our asses handed to us. I'm second chair flute (third band don't get excited) and half of the page was literally just sixteenth notes in the highest octave :/

As this is part of a greater work by this composer, there is something that comes up in a later movement called "Torch Dance".

i am going to play piano in this song in two weeks! but there are too many complex chords and the speed is too fast. any good suggestions in quick overcoming this horrible barricade? Thx!!
@Leogryph8 жыл бұрын
Hey! I'm really late answering, but I just received the piano part in this song. I'm surprised there is a piano part. lol But for future reference, use your sustain pedal, except where it says to not use it, and just try to get your hands to the next chord. Try playing it really slowly over and over again to "mold" your hands into the next chord, so when you do that, switching between chords becomes much smoother, because all you have to do is position your hand to the right octave (and your thumb on the starting note) and because your hand is molded, you should hit the right notes.
