Andrew Gaze was good but he was never great. He was always given preferential treatment because his dad was NBL royalty and on the court he was always protected by the NBL referees.

I had to laugh at that one ref who looked like he was in street clothes. No three point line is weird to look at so is a young Phil Smyth.

And in the background you see Dave Simmons and Warrick Giddey, whose sons go on to play in the NBA.

Hey Andrew, I know this video was put on here two years ago so I don’t know if you’ll see this but if you do. I’d like to talk to you about my dad Trevor if you ever have the time. Thanks

If only he was in his heydays and playing in the NBA's modern game now it's so offensively geared? I reckon He'd absolutely kill it.

Can you imagine prime Gaze, Petrovic, Sabonis Sr., Schmidt and Marciulionis playing in today's NBA?! They kill it!

This was the only way the majority of us here in Australia could follow Gaze's stint with the Bullets😊. I vividly remember this report and being so excited to see how our Legend was doing over in the U.S.

Tigers vs Magic will always be the greatest rivalry in NBL history. Next Heritage round have United wear the red & yellow with Phoenix wearing the black & white and watch the stadium sell out!

I'm almost 40yo and I was watching this and I was like "oh yeah that's the reason I always wanted to be #10 in all my sports" and after doing it for 30 years it's great to be reminded again. Gaze has always stood for winning with the highest regard for sportsmanship and respect for you competitors and I like to think that that's the way I play my sport.
