Beautifully done and important for this generation, as well as those to come. A unique view of history in the UK as well.

I visited Dauchu and it was very strange how quiet it was as soon as you went through the gate, not even birds were around and they had a wrecking ball working just outside the compound and you could not hear any noise from it as well. Very sad.

My apologies, my audio recording and mixing skills were nonexistent at the time, as perhaps is unfortunately all too obvious!

I quite agree. Looking back on the documentary there's a lot I would change technically, thankfully my knowledge of sound in terms of recording and post-production has improved considerably since then. I think the volume could do with being edited for a start!

From the number of times it's impossible to access the replies to reasonable comments, I reckon they've been edited out, for which I am truly grateful!

Hi John. No problem, if nothing else I wouldn't want to taint the sanity of the audience with allowing such comments . Most comments are very anti-Semitic, it's a rather depressing affair. Few comments of such a nature are rarely well thought out, most delve into conspiracy theories or as I've found out, factual inaccuracies. Some point to the "Producers" of this video being some high-up members of a traditional "Jewish Conspiracy". In fact it was myself as a 17 year old using an old DSLR and some very basic sound recording kit and editing software (you can probably tell, I dare say I've improved leaps and bounds on that front since then). I was simply studying at Sixth Form and wanted to tackle the subject. There's much I'd do differently now, but folks find it interesting, and I'm happy it's being viewed.

I don't understand why the BT donate page isn't collecting Gift Aid.

+danensis Hello! I'm responsible for the video rather than the fundraising process. However, I did ask someone from Heage Windmill why this was the case, they said: "We can't take Gift Aid for online donations as yet due to issue with HMRC as soon as all the paperwork is through we can put gift aid up". Hope this helps!

In Germany it's not allowed to say kristallnacht because it is the nazi-word. We learn in school to call it progromnacht. We learn about the happenings of the holocaust for over a year in almost all subjects so I think we are quite edjucated about the past

The sad part is that things like this are still going on today in places like Iraq, and Palestine. Why can't people learn from their mistakes?? To be honest, I don't think that it would have made a difference if these people converted to Christianity. I still think that they would still have been thrown into the camps. It happened during the inquisition. why ca't we learn from each other, instead of destroying each other??

I enjoyed this video but the AUDIO constantly goes from quiet to super loud, I had to keep adjusting it up and down thru the whole video. Pretty annoying....

I had my headphones on and my eardrums nearly burst at 3 certain parts of the video, BUT this is pretty important so i won't complain. Funny isn't it? The jews were persecuted and had to go through hell, and we're complaining about audio levels.

Hi Colette. I quite agree, the sound quality certainly isn't great to put it mildly! At the time I made the film, just before I turned 18, I hadn't any formal training in sound recording equipment or editing for that matter. It's the one thing above all I would change. Now things are different, but unfortunately, the sound remains the same, so I do apologise for that.

A pain the audience shouldn't have to go through alas. I suppose it goes to show how crucial sound is in video production. I hadn't any experience of audio recording or editing at the time bar myself experimenting with the sound kit. (I dare say that's quite obvious from the video as many have pointed out!). I can assure you things are very different now, frankly as I've seen a few more of these comments, I'm thinking I should put a warning in if folks are wearing headphones. Now I always check the levels on Premiere, and frankly if I can, I deploy a PPM meter on the side.
