@18:40 What you were trying to mimic is an "echo effect". In Midi form, I create this by replicating the instrument twice, then insert a 1/8-sized "rest" at the very beginning of the second copy. The third copy should have a 1/4-sized rest inserted at the very beginning. Then set the volume of the second copy to half the volume of Copy #1. The third copy should be set to 1/4 the volume of Copy #1. When you don't want the instrument to "echo", leave the notes in Copies #2 and #3 blank.

I wonder if arranging classical music is a little random coming from me... Most versions of badinerie I've heard are played at a faster pace, either as a flex or just to emphasis the “playfulness” of the music. But I wanted to try something more deliberate or organized. So there's a difference in how it feels.

These will be released at a slower pace. I want to keep the focus on the gameplay so you'll see points that will be skipped over like the more exhausting bits of dialog. I'm assuming anyone watching this has played the game before. Once the areas have been explored enough I'll probably cut the general gameplay to important parts. So the first time exploring these areas will probably be 30-50 minutes. And then get reduced to 15 - 30 focusing on story until the next area is reached. I have to manage how much I include into the final video, since I'm also smoothing out the footage to 60 fps . Which looks nice, but it bumps up the rendering time for the video and Increasing the filesize. Echoes of Wisdom is over 280GB of space as an example. Finally, the 3D affect is set to be stronger here, the distance between objects is exaggerated slightly.

As a lot of other people have said coming into this expecting the worst, this is just... surprisingly faithful. I love this honestly. A lot of the music hits exactly the same. Reminds me of the stuff Sam Miller has been doing with games like Donkey Kong Country. There is something about the attention to details that help emulate not just the music as it was written, but the feels that the original evoked. I'm just surprised I've never even heard of you until now considering the 1 mil views on this. Thanks KZbin for doing something right for once, if only after 4 years.

This was recorded a while back, since I won't need more than one video doing the arcade I thought it would be fine to just upload this. Though the end of the video was cut off while recording. pretty much 95% of it is here.

This is one of my fav Zelda places of all time! Is it possible to change the aspect ratio? It seems horizontally stretched in all my devices
@ZerethnАй бұрын
What device are you using? If you're looking straight in the center of the image, you should be able to turn your head at least 15-30 degrees before the side ends of the video is visible.
@renleungАй бұрын
@ I’ve been using the KZbin app on my iPhone and meta quest. Your other VR180 videos are fine. Only your BOTW videos are stretched.
@ZerethnАй бұрын
@@renleung I took a gander and it doesn't look stretched to me, but it is definitely low res. At some point I'd like to go through the Wii U titles again with higher resolutions and better 3D settings. So there's a good chance I'll redo BotW's towns, or at least the most important ones.

Some info on where I'm currently at: - This will be my first time going through this, when I started, I didn't really know much beyond what they showed in the first trailer. - Most of the parts are much longer than the average Link's Awakening video. Some of them are close to on an hour in length which makes the rendering time more of a bottleneck now. - The playlist for Echoes of Wisdom will be shared with Link's Awakening. ( In the description. ) - The first few videos go through some growing pains visually... some adjustments between the 3D affect for headsets, and the frame-rate. By part 4 I have a good setup in place. - The next part will be up tomorrow.

As a vr video, I thought it might be convenient to compile most of the characters and houses together here. So I skip some of the overworld footage to focus on that before the final boss.

For website browser and phone users: This video (and any labeled VR from me) is 3D, and is tailored for the VR KZbin app for supporting stereo images. (Meta Quest/etc) It's not a regular 2D video being blown up and stretched, although that's what you will see on the browser. When KZbin processes a 3D video, for the browser, it only shows one half of the stereo image for the video player.
