So, it looks like the second four people on, was one couple, both were biracial and the couple they donated to was an interracial couple. but that works. The child of the interracial couple would be biracial.
@peachygal41537 ай бұрын
The adopting couple picked a couple who had similar coloring. Unless they tell people, most would assume the children are their bio children

Wow such an incredible talk! I appreciate how thoroughly you’ve laid out the different pathways and importance of openness. We are about to do an open embryo adoption and going to buy her book as a guide to help us lay a positive foundation for supporting our child’s journey.

Wonderful. I wish they wouldn’t call it adoption though. It’s very different to traditional adoption and the issues that can arise with a child being given up by the mother for whatever reason. Embryo donation is more accurate.

I think any organ donation,embryos included is a wonderful gift to give other people who could benefit from it.All the donors are heroes.

embryos are not organs, they are human beings at the start of their journey in this world - so, you don't adopt a pancreas but a child you do

I found out so many adopted embryos resemble their adoptive parents.

The whole process requires a lot of patience and it was nerve wrecking for me. Embryos adoption is a noble thing to do. I was able to experience the whole pregnancy. My son is now almost 1 month old and I am so blessed. Maybe it’s just in my head, but my family members and I thought my son looks so much like me especially his cheeks. I know that the genetic materials are different but I can’t help but thinking of doing a dna test.

@@cherrydarling1329it’s actually quite affordable , around $10k if you have the embryo directly from the donor family and not from a bank

JV and Cathy you seem like a sweet couple, GOD bless you both for saving life and putting life first! The bible says, And not only this, but we also exult in our tribulations, knowing that tribulation brings about perseverance; and perseverance, proven character; and proven character, hope; and hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out within our hearts through the Holy Spirit who was given to us.

@iamsoaringeagle6 жыл бұрын
Hi. I think you said that you initially had 16 embryos. I'm wondering two things: 1) what happened to the other 14? and 2) was it a choice to have two children from two different donor families? Thanks for sharing more info about the miracle of embryo donation and adoption!
@forerunner76 жыл бұрын
Wow they have 12 embryos they’ve adopted?… wonder why so many??

Probably to ensure they would have enough in case of some not taking or losses.

That is how many the bio couple had left after they had their baby/babies. Now that technology is so good that one embryo results in a baby, a bio couple having many left. It varies by mother and age. A woman under 30 sometimes can produce nearly 20 eggs from one IVF cycle.
@peachygal41537 ай бұрын
Now that technology is so good, perhaps they should not fertilize all the eggs, freeze some of the eggs and fertilize only a couple at a time. It used to be most of the embryos did not implant, but that is no longer true.
