Not a myth. I’m still taking it. I’m going to adjust taking it in the morning with more electrolytes and carbohydrates to see if my sleep changes. I’ve never had a sleep issue history and I fall asleep within minutes because I’m able to meditate in to a sleep state however when I take creatine after a late night workout and about 3 hours before bed. I have a difficult time falling asleep even with meditation and I wake up frequently to small noises in the home which is followed by about 30 minutes of restlessness before I fall back asleep. I’ve also been waking up an hour to 30 minutes before my alarm goes off. Don’t be so quick to label something as a “Myth” to me this represents a lack of discipline in critical reasoning and can bring in to question a reliance on subjectivity in the experts opinion. Which is not conducive to good science.

Amazing conversation!! Let's start working to get kids outside and playing, we have to show parents the alternatives to team sports, while making team sports more about growing up and learning than winning and losing. We also need to create more affordable places for children to grow and move!

Lymphatic system a passive system. Sorry Kelly, this is not true. Lymphangiomotoricity provides strong evidence that the lymphatic system is an active system, rather than purely passive. This active nature is primarily demonstrated through the intrinsic pumping mechanism of lymphatic vessels. ## Intrinsic Lymphatic Pump The lymphatic system employs an intrinsic pump mechanism to actively propel lymph against pressure gradients. This pump is driven by the following key components: 1. **Lymphatic muscle cells (LMCs)**: The walls of collecting lymphatic vessels contain LMCs that exhibit spontaneous contractions[1][2]. These contractions are initiated by action potentials, similar to cardiac muscle. 2. **Pacemaker activity**: LMCs display spontaneous pacemaker activity, generating rhythmic contractions[1][6]. This is analogous to the sinoatrial node in the heart. 3. **Coordinated contractions**: Lymphangions (segments between valves) contract in a coordinated manner to propel lymph forward[1][6]. This coordination is facilitated by electrical coupling between LMCs through gap junctions. 4. **Pressure-sensitive response**: The contractility of lymphangions is modulated by transmural pressure, allowing them to adapt to changing fluid loads[4][6]. ## Active Regulation Mechanisms Several mechanisms actively regulate lymphatic pumping: 1. **Mechanotransduction**: Lymphatic endothelial cells sense fluid shear and wall tension, modulating contractile responses[7]. 2. **Nitric oxide (NO) signaling**: NO release from lymphatic endothelium influences both tone and phasic contractions of lymphatic vessels[7]. 3. **Calcium dynamics**: Intracellular calcium signaling plays a crucial role in initiating and propagating lymphatic contractions[6]. 4. **Connexin-mediated communication**: Gap junctions formed by connexin proteins allow for the coordinated propagation of electrical signals along lymphatic vessels[6][7]. ## Passive Components While the lymphatic system is primarily active, it also incorporates passive elements: 1. **One-way valves**: These prevent backflow of lymph, ensuring unidirectional flow[1][2]. 2. **Extrinsic forces**: Skeletal muscle contractions, respiratory movements, and arterial pulsations contribute to lymph propulsion[2][13]. 3. **Pressure gradients**: Initial lymphatic uptake is driven by pressure differences between interstitial fluid and lymphatic capillaries[2][13]. In conclusion, lymphangiomotoricity provides compelling evidence that the lymphatic system is predominantly an active system. The presence of intrinsic pumping mechanisms, coordinated contractions, and sophisticated regulatory pathways demonstrate that lymphatic vessels actively participate in lymph propulsion. While passive elements contribute to lymph flow, the ability of the lymphatic system to generate its own contractions and adapt to changing conditions underscores its active nature. I've been doing this for a couple of months now, amongst other hip mobility and strengthening exercises. I still have get substantial hip impingement and nothing seems to be helping. I understand this may allow you to get into a position you normally wouldn't have access to, but is this working to fix why or how your hip is in this impinged position to begin with? Maybe something about strengthening through this range of motion to "gain it back" outside of just mobility work? I'm out of ideas and it seems my physio may be, as well.

Thank you for introducing Aaron and these topics. Having spent the last 20 months assisting my Wife thru her breast cancer journey I have been absolutely stunned by the ignorance and/or complete disregard of physical health & nutrition by her medical team. These issues apparently fall outside of their 'silo' of care/responsibility and don't show up on their radar at all.
