I absolutely hate that the aveda demi is progressive. I feel like if I need to use this as a root color with balayage it would be so dark because I can’t get the balayage done that fast. I wish it wasn’t progressive. I end up using the full spectrum permanent when I don’t need to.

You are an excellent teacher. I specialize in color theory and hair color composition, and I have to say that in 34 years of doing this you are one of the best I've listened too. Respect.

This is why I prefer 100% oxidative. Progressive colors are a headache. I should never have to have to tinker around with lighter shades because timing can mess this much with my end result.

Please differentiate combination pigment from 100% oxidative to clarify the progressive aspect of the color. Thank you.

For ex, if the desire level is 8 and same purpose n processing time , still can use same level of product for someone has level 5 and someone who have level 7 ?
