Texas State left the south end zone like that with future plans to bowl it in (and connect to the end zone complex) in mind. Also, that end zone complex isn't new. Current construction of a new team enhancement center & weight room, with patio seating on top, will connect the whole of the bowl shape. New name: Jim Wacker Field at UFCU Stadium.

The 2nd pronunciation of Viejas is correct. It was built into the old Aztec Bowl, which was the home of the football team until 1967. The football team then moved to San Diego Stadium, home of the Padres and Chargers. The Stadium name was changed to Jack Murphy Stadium, which became Qualcomm Stadium, and finally SDCCU Stadium. SDCCU Stadium was demolished and replaced by Snapdragon stadium, which you already did a video of.

The SJSU renovation is both aesthetically awful and logically deficient. I have no idea what the institution was thinking.

Been to a few of these Dix Stadium: Pretty nice, serves its purpose UB Stadium: Pretty bad, seats are too far from field, feels like it belongs in the Soviet Union circa 1970 Husky Stadium: Has potential but needs TLC McGuirk Stadium: Sold FCS stadium but below average FBS facility

Arizona's stadium reminds me quite a bit of K-State's digs. I'm in Manhattan for a couple of years while I do my doctoral work at K-State so I'm quite familiar with our stadium; which is very nice and perfectly sized. I've been to Memorial at KU as well but that's it. I'm hoping to visit West Virginia and maybe Iowa State this year. West Virginia seems very likely. I've always wanted to get to Folsom and Cougar/LaVell Edwards Stadium in Provo but those trips will have to wait.

nice try at the pronunciation of Eccles, certainly is hard if you haven't heard it said before but it's ek-ulz for future reference. And a fun fact is the capacity may not be entirely correct. it regularly goes over capacity for big games. i think the biggest recorded was for the Florida game this past year.

Currently waiting for the MVC vid. Some decent arenas there and they were one of the best mid majors in the country this past season.

I go to Georgia Southern! Paulson Stadium seating isn’t bad at all. The bottom deck away on the opposite side from the press boxes is mainly student seating and every game we allow somewhere in the realm of 10,000 student if I’m not mistaken and with that being said we broke our attendance record this past season and I’m honestly waiting for the school to expand the stadium as our continues to grow. The second deck covers shields the space for some luxury seating which is the beer garden. I’ve sat there before and it’s good cool seating out of the sun! I’m hoping the next renovations are to the end zone at Bishop. Maybe they could do something similar to what southern miss has but I’m sure they have some ideas already in the pipeline seeing as every one of our other programs is getting some sort of expansion in some shape or form.

Id like to rank all the campuses to be ranked from different perspectives. Like gameday stadium experience, tailgaiting experience, student experience, and just sight seeing experience. Like LSUs homefield advantage has more to do with outside the stadium than inside it. Its basically a gigantic oak canopy between some lales. This allows for basically a comfortable tailgaiting city to form around it. Some of the other SEC schools have the oak canopy thing going on but its most severe at Lsu

I think you should’ve also shown Seton Hall’s personal arena, similar to Saint John’s, they also play most of their games at a professional sports arena, but do occasionally play some games at their own smaller personal sports venue.

@28:40 A&M so much pride, so little success... Good video! Would have been good to mention some of the stadium nicknames, facts like Texas&Arkansas are the only turf fields and any other unique pageantry facts like the Tennessee checkerboard or the cemetery that adjoins the Alabama stadium.

Oklahoma’s stadium was originally called Oklahoma Memorial Stadium to honor those who died in World War I. The field is named Owen Field after legendary coach Bennie Owen. The “Gaylord Family” prefix was added in 2003 when the Gaylord family (owners of the Oklahoman newspaper and TV station) made the principal donation for the east side suites and upper deck. Most people use Owen Field and Memorial Stadium interchangeably to refer to the stadium.

Did you really need to read the official promotional text for every stadium? You didn't for any other conference and it kept the length down. It sounds silly repeating the same shill fluff for every school.

I grew up across the river from Neyland stadium. You can hear the cannon from so far away. It always gets everyone who isn't watching the game the first time Tennessee scores. Everyone jumps 😂.
