just a note abt eating on campus: any food that nourishes your body is good food (hint: all food nourishes your body). If eating healthy makes you feel healthy then all the power to ya! Look into different eating options at the dining hall. But the transition into college can be hard and just giving your body nutrients is all that really matters. Don't sweat this whole idea of the freshman 15 and just listen to your body <3

The “not going home” part is a 50/50 cuz some people need to take care of their pets and stuff cuz the family aren’t doing enough. Your pet is alone for all that time you are away and they are not getting the attention they would need. So I think it is worth to come visit your beloved pets as much as possible and keep things in check in the household.

My mom wants to call me once a week every week. I’m reading that. I’d rather every other week or once a month. Also I’m a 1st year this fall.

This is like the 6th video i've watched where its been said to not have a vehicle on campus freshman year and I just think it's funny because I start college in August and I'm going to have a vehicle on campus only because the college i'm going to is 3 hours away from home, near the state border, and near a big city. Needless to say I won't be making a ton of trips home because 4 lane highways scare me and weekend traffic is crazy there.

I'm in Storrs and going for a masters degree in Research, Methods, Measurement, and Evaluation. Yes, you are absolutely right the classes are not easy. I made a schedule of readings, discussions, and papers. It has helped a great deal. So far its great.

Idek what it was but like… the way she enforced #10 made me mad. “You can just loose the weight it’s not that hard!” Girl yes it is. And another there is nothing wrong with being fat she should be telling us that it’s okay to gain weight bc we r still ourselves not that it’s oky bc u can loose it. It sounds like she’s saying “ur not attractive if u have gained weight and are now fat.” Like… what? Maybe I’m reading into it idek

Hi! I totally get where you’re coming from- there are a lot of people who are really worried about gaining the freshman 15 and I was trying to ease the nerves surrounding that. When weight gain is caused by unhealthy eating patterns/behaviors and a stressful environment, that’s typically something that people want to avoid. However, you’re right in saying that whether you lose weight or not, you’ll still be your wonderful self and have the capacity for success :)

I started to show symptoms of ed when I was a child, around 9. I was at my lowest at 15 and it went down hill from that. I only had Tumblr and Twitter to rant about it all day long, picked up my first "diet" from a random site and started to compete with other users on social media. I'm 27 now, it's been 17 years since I've been living with this, my whole metabolism is messed up and I'm not able to eat like a normal person, everyday is different but I never got rid of that "voice", that is just basically my ed torturing me when it comes to food. It's tiring. Be wise and go to the doctor for help if you want to lose weight.
