I've read Professor Manne's book and wish I could've been her student when I was at Cornell. Would love to hear/read how she would imagine a society free of misogyny and its police force. Such a vision stretches the limit of my creativity.

The words of the Apostle Paul apply here - Where is the wise? where is the scribe? where is the disputer of this world? hath not God made foolish the wisdom of this world? For after that in the wisdom of God the world by wisdom knew not God, it pleased God by the foolishness of preaching to save them that believe. For the Jews require a sign, and the Greeks seek after wisdom: but we preach Christ crucified, unto the Jews a stumbling block, and unto the Greeks foolishness; but unto them which are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God, and the wisdom of God. Because the foolishness of God is wiser than men; and the weakness of God is stronger than men. (1 Cor. 20:20-25).

This woman is a skilled propagandist. Pretty evil to defend blood libel as we all know it’s true and continues today. Don’t forget about the tunnels they made in New York with all the children’s clothes found in it.

Putting "' in God we trust "' on the money is not explicit rejection of divine governance. It's more like the founding fathers had their fingers crossed ... behind their backs. Not that these men weren't doing their best in their time. Ms. Richardson is sort of the sturmbahnfuhrer of academic history. A bit tight.

I was not expecting any Latin at a Jesuit College Mass so I am not disappointed but at least the mass was offered reverently.

Why is it necessary to have these young singers in the sanctuary?

The attempts to cover up, or discredit, the 'messiness' of history is an attempt by a minority of people to muddy the waters, confuse the populace and thereby insert their OWN reality and impose it on the rest of us.

It seems very odd to me that Richardson mentions the 1776 project, a very brief effort of the Trump administration, but does not mention the much larger effort that caused it, that is, the 1619 project. She does allude to it and, correctly in my view, criticizes it.

I believe, when it comes to working class families, the parents have to talk to the children as well as set an example to instill the types of values that will lead the children to success. By the time the children are teens, aka "grown", they should have friends that reflect the values the parents exemplified just a few years prior.

Glad to have this pop up on my KZbin notifications. My college humanities class had me questioning much of the values i grew up with but opened up so much more of how different cultures viewed their worlds. This is another thought provoking session with HCR. Thanks for shari ng!

Wonderful History. Great effort to be made. Sincerely hope it works. HOWEVER--- does no one see the IRONY of a Religion, based on Imaginary Invisible Being proclaiming TRUTH? As an Atheist, I am all for the search for accuracy... But surely someone must see the folly in a Catholic Church spearheading it?

Apple going to the government to change the patent laws is not "shareholder primacy." It is corporatism which is the antithesis of a free, competitive market.
