I have a patch in my yard where these have grown every year. I've been looking out for them this year and yesterday I was pretty sure I could see them poking above the leaf litter. Today, sure enough, they're here! As soon as you get near them, you can smell a slight licorice scent, but when you crouch amidst the patch... Such an intense aroma!!

I have been looking at buckets like if the yield would be higher, but wasn’t sure, it looks like it would be, did you grow bags before ?

Do they keep producing after harvest? I'm deciding whether i grow them on logs or just the bucket method.

I live in a cold house in a cold year in the UK so a constant temp of 20 - 22 is not possible. My kit has been in the box for 40 days now and it only has light mycelium growth, what should I do, wait some more? I would say it's somewhere in between 'under developed' and 'acceptable' on you pics here.

Contains agaratine thats close/chargeable to hydrazine (rocket fuel) of which is cancerous when ingested. Similar to why raw morels are so poisonous... needs to be cooked really well but even then it won't remove all of it!

Really enjoying the videos, I have an allotment in Suffolk which I took over from a traditional cultivate/ dig allotment holder two years ago, I do no dig and no chemical growing, my pathways are made up of wood chips and leaves from local tree surgeons waste and have noticed this year an abundance of mushrooms that have the look of toasted marshmallows popping up in all the pathways and corners of the allotment, I would like to do a bed of mushrooms but was a bit worried that the existing mushrooms would out compete any spawn that I use, but after watching your informative video I am now thinking that if I start a new bed with cardboard etc. the new spawn will be able to take hold before the existing network gets a chance to move in, would you agree? By the way I have just started one of your Blue-grey oyster mushroom home grow kits that I was given as a Birthday present from my youngest Son. Very excited to see how it goes. Warm wishes David. :-)

@davidswain6413 3 ай бұрын
@@urbanfarm-it Thankyou for the encouragement, I may have a go at winecap then. I imagine you just add fresh wood chip or straw at the end of the year ready for the next years growth. :-)
