I usually sample existing audio, but I have toyed with making sounds and stuff from scratch. Making fonts is extremely fun, I demo the fonts I've made on my channel, definitely go check those out!

Hey there; when you insert the blade, do you push down fully against the pins or leave it so the blade rests atop of them

Normally press down so the pins compress. Otherwise it doesn't make a good connection.

The saber in the video is installed with Proffie and Neopixel and doesn't compare at all to the stock master replicas Anakin electronics. I'm afraid I do not know how to help you.

Did you weather this yourself? And if so, how did you deal with the emitter? I’ve been using a dremel and sanding drum, I removed the chrome plating and layer of copper. I’ve reached bare steel however it’s not oxidizing, and remaining shiny and silver. Almost chrome. I’ve sanded away a good deal of it and am worried about going further with it. I’m curious how you dealt with the emitter and if it took a great deal of sanding to get the steel to oxidize?

What font was that "exar kun" startup sound on, i found the Thexian font but doesnt seem to be related to the Exar quote/music/startup and where can it be found? I havent been able to find anyone mentioning having made one before.

It's from an audio book. I sampled it, the customer wanted that as the boot/font sound.
