@@Escapetosea well ...it's not quite a real Thunderbird, more of a Funder bird. I made it. It has a P-bass style neck and bridge with J-bass style pickups. Only thing Thunderbird is the shape. But I DO have a lot of genuine old bows from the early 70s on; Ben Pearsons, Bears, Browning's, old Black Widows. Half of my bows are newer customs made for me by Harvey Archery. I been. Hunting with a trad bow about as long as I been playing, almost half a century now.

I'd just drive a different car every day ... depending on how I feel " That's pretty much it. I pick one up based on how I feel that morning. Sometimes I set it back down and pick up a different one. I tend to like the three I've built with raw necks the most though.

@@puebloblau420 it's just me playing completely clean with totally flat EQ through a 10 watt Boss Dual Cube desktop amp recording with my phone leaned up against it. I'm really into tone, which to me is mostly a product of technique and the instrument. I build all of my bases with this goal and just try to capture and amplify what they sound like without any electricity at all. Just clean. This particular bass is very low endy. It is a one piece swamp ash body and a goncalo alves neck and fingerboard that is just finished in hand rubbed lemon oil. The pickups are Seymour Duncan Proactive Jazz Bass pickups, what I consider to be my reference pickups.

@@tatelabianca666 it's really just a phone leaned against a coffee cup. That's the point of this channel; low tech, lo-fi, just hit the red button first time I touch the bass every morning and go, no matter where I am. A phone will always work because I am sometimes in some very inaccessible places when I do these. Ain't gonna haul around a bunch of other gear besides my bass and my little desktop amp. Plenty of folks out there giving polished produced hi-fi stuff. I'm the other end. See how much I can do with the absolute minimum of everything, including thought and preparation. All 100% off the top of my head in that moment. I don't even listen to em, I just post and move on and accept em for what they are. Not for everyone, I concede that. Thank you for listening though.

Last night Nickelodeon aired the newest episode of the Really Loud House, the Odyssey is the name of the episode, and I fall down twice in it. Decent pay check and hopefully some residuals as well.

Hey idk if you can answer this but I had a music shop put thinner gauge strings on my cheap Ibanez bass and the G string cuts out after the 12th fret.. Could this mean The saddle height needs adjustment or is it because it isn’t meant for the thinner bright rotor sound strings?? Sorry if Im asking to much I am rather ignorant on this..

@@JameaJimea1175 it's more likely ba truss rod adjustment. My guess is with less tension you now have less neck relief, or bow. That would cause that. I'd suggest loosening the truss rod about an 1/8 of a turn, and give it a day to settle. You may need to loosen it another 1/8. But go small and let it settle for an entire day between each adjustment.
