The halfway metro stations are extremely unattractive, looking like something from an iron curtain country from the early eighties. The tunnels are dirty and look like the 1930s. I know the basic cause is not the city of Brussels, but the fragmented Belgian government which has given mismanagement a new definition.

Great video from STIB/MIVB, our trams in Antwerp from ‘’DeLijn’’ Will also get new Routes & Numbers starting at January 2025. Our tramline 3 thats running in my through my street Will be known as tramline T9 in the Future, we gonna miss number 3 as well

I always wondered why the brussels signaling system has such odd speeds like 13 and 27. I drive in den haag in The Netherlands and our system just says 30 or 15.

@@vdvlb Thank you Vincent. I will wait with excitement to see lines 9 and 19 very soon. I have seen in your video of Line 3 that there is a second rail going towards Line 10 at Hembeek. If I was a planner for STIB routes, I can see Line 19 being extended from De Wand to Hopital Militaire! Just my thoughts, Vincent!! 😎😎

Interesting lines you have there. Was this tunnel section supposed to be / will it be part of the metro in the future or will it always be something in between? I also don't see any warnings about changing the speed limit or whether it's not very safe - the driver has to remember every place on the network himself.

@@Matz32 Indeed, the tunnel sections between Gare du Nord and Anneessens but also between Gare du Midi and Albert are part of the future Subway line 3. About warnings and signalling, in all underground sections the speed limit is controlled by the signalling system. When a tram exceeds the authorized speed or passes a red light, this vehicle is automatically braked until it comes to a complete stop. On street running or private right of way some sections are limited to a speed for safety reasons, but that brings not automatically the vehicle to the stop or to the restricted speed. And finally, Yes, the driver must have a perfect formation for each line to ensure security in and around dangerous or potential dangerous place.

Je ne suis pas retourné à Bruxelles depuis 15 Ans. Ça me fait plaisir et bizarre de voir ces images. J'ai beaucoup aimé, pour diverses raisons cette métropole, même si j'y ai eu un accident du travail heureusement sans gravité physique. Merci à vous tous et toutes, personnels de la STIB et habitant de Bruxelles, pour cette visite virtuelle de la Ville que je n'ai jamais visité réellement. Portez vous bien tous et toutes, une belle journée à vous.

Hello, Thanks a lot for your comment on my video. I'm unfortunately not tram driver in Brussels but have some friends as tram driver. So it's more easy to place the camera ! Indeed it would be great and I think you speek dutch ! Zo doe je je video gedurende je eigen dienst of doe je dat ook met vrienden en/of collega's ? In enkele van je videos heb ik iemand van de HTM gezien... die ik goed kent ! En als bestuurder van de tram : Wes ! Is hij een vriend van je ? Le conducteur s'en est strictement tenu aux vitesses prescrites dans le règlement propre à la STIB. En filmant, j'en ai été témoin... Il faut peut-être, selon l'endroit, relever les vitesses définies par les panneaux blancs à chiffres noirs placés le long des voies... Malgré ce strict respect de ces limitations, le tramway a tout au long du trajet été à l'heure et pas en retard. Il me semble donc que l'horaire est prévu pour rouler à ces vitesses. De l'opportunité de rouler plus vite et de relever les vitesses prescrites, je n'émetterai aucun... avis !

Hi, have you considered putting some information into overlays at the bottom of the screen? Like the names of the stops or when lines are diverging/converging? That would be really sweet as it is sometimes a bit hard to follow where one is right now.

Budget increase, hazardous planning have huge consequences on this project. For the moment all further constructions have been stopped... We wait the position of the new regional government about this project and if there is enough money to finance it in the next years. If works would go further an opening of the entire Subway line nr 3 is not expected before... 2034 ! Wait and ...see !🤨

Normally with this new government, there will be more metro investments and less tram investments. This is because of their point of view about the car and public transport.

Only the third rails (power) have been laid, and the station Albert is being transformed (we can see the new metro-station being built to the right at 24:07 . However, the platforms have always been "high" because it was always intended to build a metro there. The lower portions will be filled short before the definitive transformation. But when will that happen ???? (loooooaaaads of problems and incidents, not to mention the ecologist lobby groups who want to abolish cars but don't understand that narrow Brussels tramways cannot welcome as many passengers as a metro train, and who want to block any metro project.
