I'm going to replace my steering wheel in my fiesta, but how can you turn the steering wheel after the battery has been disconnected?
@TheCorneringStoreКүн бұрын
@arashinolove3827 check to see if your wheel is locked. It wasn't a problem for me. I think you can turn it far enough without it locking. I didn't even think of it so it wasn't an issue apparently.

@davemail I'd say it should still work on a 25. That doesn't seem like any part of the vehicle they would change for the refresh and face-lift they did. If you end up giving it a go please post up your findings here for others with the same question.

is it a heated wheel ??.
@TheCorneringStore14 күн бұрын
@garyehmcke943 mine is not because my truck didn't c9ke with a heated wheel, but they did make these ST wheels with hear so you could add one and retain heat... ir it can be added to trucks without the option with some effort. I'm pretty sure I've seen some people go through the trouble of adding the wiring etc.

Does a maverick need the lock first before doing this mod?
@TheCorneringStore16 күн бұрын
@c7u3676 Hi, I'm not sure I understand your question. The mod will work on any maverick that doesn't have auto locking tailgate already. I believe the lariat and some or all XLTs maybe depending on options have it. My buddies Tremor xlt has it already. To do this modification you need the new power locking mechanism and a new wiring harness for the tailgate (unless you run your own wiring and source the connector) , but the actual lock cylinder that you put your key into is not affected. You don't need to do anything with that.

Make sure you grease that cable they have a tendency to rust out and break and you will loose your spare on the road
@TheCorneringStore17 күн бұрын
@markcomisky7106 that's a good idea for anyone in the North or rustbelt. Also checking the air pressure in it every so often can save your butt. I don't have to worry about rust here in the southwest thankfully.

@TheCorneringStoreАй бұрын
@faisalhamawi3673 I upgraded from the plastic to a regular modular awhile back. It was pretty easy other than getting rid of the tow hooks and you have to trim a LOT off your plastic bash plate to fit it with the modular, so I'd recommend Def getting the metal bash/skid plate along with the modular so it fits right together.

Do you have any video of the actual cutting? Or photos of the sides when finished? Thank you
@TheCorneringStore6 ай бұрын
@barbaraw.3236 the cutting you can just use some tin snips and take your time or of course an electric multi tool. Sorry, I didn't want to bore people with all the cutting and making the video any longer. If you checkout the video at about 12:11 as another person commented below, you can get a pretty good view of the final result. There is no right "side" any longer since where it did contour down has been cut off. I did cut around some things on the left and there are a few places where it still contours down some, but it really doesn't matter and that could all be cutoff also. Some other commenter's said they lopped off the right rear mount also I think it was. Double check that : )

Did you need any additional parts to install the modular bumper coming from the plastic bumper that came stock on the base model? I’d like to think the bolts all just go in the same place and the bolts don’t need to be any longer than the existing ones that hold the plastic bumper on. I’m going from a plastic bumper to a Raptor bumper. Thanks for any help in advance!
@TheCorneringStore6 ай бұрын
@matttorres8921 everything bolted right up from what i recall. You just need to cutoff the tow hook deals on the intercooler brackets or buy the parts for the non base that don't have the tow hook loops. If you are using the raptor skid plate you will however need a spacer and longer bolt. I've kept the raptor bumper, but moved on to the ABR skid plates.
@matttorres89216 ай бұрын
@@TheCorneringStore Thanks so much for the reply and information, did you end up making a spacer for yours?
@TheCorneringStore6 ай бұрын
@matttorres8921 oh, I almost forgot. The base plastic skid plate will take significant cutting to fit with the modular bumper. From your question about the spacer I'd guess you are going to run the raptor skid. I didn't get around to making a spacer. I left that bolt out and didn't do any offroading until I had the arb, but I did buy a longrr bolt that I belive would be the correct one with spacer. M10-1.50 X 75. Class 8.8 hex cap from lowes or home depot. Hillman brand. Hope this helps!

@@TheCorneringStore Thanks a ton for that bolt information! I was able to get a Raptor bumper off of a guy locally that had gotten his Raptor Bronco off of the delivery truck and drove it less than 5 miles to the shop that then upgraded the front and back bumper for him. There's not even a bug stuck to the bumper, really stoked to upgrade our Bronco. Thanks again for all the info!

I'm dealing with the dreaded 2 rusted upper manifold bolts right now, when attempting to replace the badly-engineered oil filter adapter housing because of the cracked plastic reservoir. So it will be CA$3,000 once all is said and done (if I also need a new lower manifold - remains to be learned). There should be a class-action lawsuit. Dorman makes an after-market oil filter adapter housing which is ALL aluminum, like Dodge should have done in the first place 🤬
@TheCorneringStore6 ай бұрын
Oof, I hope I never need to replace that oil filter housing and have that problem. Living in the desert I'd imagine I'll he ok, but i picked up my van a few years old from Michigan. Hopefully it won't run you anymore money. I'd look at maybe replacing your coolant Reservoir also if you are having issues keeping it up to the minimum line. They have hairline cracks usually I've read. That is on my list to do. The transmissions and the leaky windshields should have been recalled/fixed I agree.
