A few days ago I started a new save file to learn hunting horn. It's actually harder to learn a weapon with end game gear because you don't know if the weapon is carrying you or if you're learning the proper fundamentals.

There's a simple way to do that anyway rather than start all over. I usually compared the time in the quest with main and other weapon. Example End Game Event Quest monsters like Tempered Nergi, Teo or Fata n Alatreon. If my time too long and struggle in quest that's means i still need more practice for that weapon.

Since you're doing fatalis everyday. Have they changed something about Fatalis? I did a few hunts this week in multiplayer and he just kept spamming his fireblast and fly move in every hunt

Its still same. But Fatalis have high chance to do that Charging Fireball n Flying if Fatalis Targeting You or Others that who stay below his belly and Head.

Tbh Dual Blades is one of the chill weapon to use against Fatalis. The problem we shouldn't spam Demon Dance a lot.
