I think it's better to say places to avoid. Mainly I try to avoid being near caves, very hilly areas, and within forests. Hearing grunts all the time and having the jump everywhere is just the worst. It also should be near starter trees and clay, but not in a forest to reduce the chance of wolves and bears spawning near me. If it's near peat, that's a nice bonus too since that's pretty nice fuel for getting started.

So I haven't gotten to this yet but we're getting to the point where we have 30-some iron blooms to beat into ingots. I tried it out in creative and immediately thought, what the heck is the point, I can do this so much faster by hand and I still have to come back and forth swapping the ingots out. It's almost winter so... don't have much else to do besides cook and mine haha

I like playing on with ngiht mode, and even though the of the solar power plant is charged, I even bought the extension of the solar power plant, it doesnt unload at night. Any tipps? I always have to import Energy which is sooo fucking expensive even though I got enough storage.

I know its 6 months past, but Jötan is pronounced closer to "Yo-tan", the Jötan are also know as "Giants", with the Jötanar being "Frost Giants", this is a bit of a mistranslation due to Christianizaton trying to eradicate pagan religions, but i digress, Jötans "Yo-tans" blood, or the blue rock is the blood of a primordial god like being.

Been playing this game for a few years now. I once had my own MC server, I spent so many hours in that game, but Vintage Story? It's better in Every. Single. Regard. Finding Vintage Story after MC is like discovering your new favorite beer after only ever drinking juice and soda. Minecraft and Vintage Story is the difference between childhood and growing up. Not disparaging MC as for kids, adults can and do enjoy that game, but VS really is best described as "Minecraft for Adults." I recently got back into it because there are massive new story updates out. There's now more than just drifters and they're all pretty terrifying. Wanna talk reward loop? I decided I wanted to head south to avoid Winter. VS has actual climate and weather. South means warmer climate. Biomes aren't random and I generated my world to have outright oceans (yes you can control how your world is generated to the finest of details). In on season I got myself to Iron, farmed enough flax to build the new sailboat, collected all sorts of food which included pickling vegetables and salting meat, gathered up as much of my base as I could (the sailboat can have up to 8 chests of storage, it's kinda huge), and set sail. The feeling I got when I finally hit the water, seeing the first snowfall disappearing behind me (I left late November) was a feeling I've never gotten from other games. When I finally found the carribean islands I now call home my entire experience was uplifted. I went from living in a dirt hut, frantically farming and gathering to avoid the winter, to sailing across a wide ocean (I went 22,000 blocks south), to living in a mostly constructed windmill, with massive farm, and growing workshop. Vintage Story is amazing and it's criminal it's not more popular than it is.

I Love this! Im so glad you got to see a landslide after playing with a friend in a Neolithic playthrough where we ended up getting a copper pickaxe and went caving i noticed the cracked rock and to keep us safe from it before we adventured further in i mined some of it to get it loose but my friend didn't get that message and just kept going on and he ended up dying from the rock slide and its been one of my favorite setting to turn on.

hey thanks for the tips! I was wondering if there is a seamless way to connect a single tram line to more than one district, can trams be connected to highways? If not then I think I may have to have them run through backroads or bridges which makes them look more like a train than a tram. Or I may just a second tram line 😸
