I'm convinced Elena realized she wasn't in love with Stefan anymore when she remembered that scene after turning. this scene perfectly mirrors the scene in 3x01 when Elena later says this is when she knew she loved Damon. this is proof Damon can be selfless with her in all circumstances. they were inevitable from the start. this is why she chose Damon - not because she became a vampire

@@cacaty3262 obviously not, he shouldn’t let her punch him, but there’s various moments in the show where he makes her feel threatened and people shrug it off as damon being damon because they think he’s hot. and people are saying in the comments that he didn’t make her feel threatened and that she has to know he won’t hurt her when he literally has various times.

Elena parallels Bonnie in this episode. "It's 'cause you're trying to do too much on your own. You need help." Damon and Elena channel each other, that's why you get that great workout scene in 3x6. Fans take Damon too seriously... he's not gonna break her arm ffs. Damon and Stefan are written as equals, but one of them has to be selfish enough to hold onto Elena... otherwise there'd literally be no show because Elena would've died. Tough break for Stelena shippers, but that's the reality.

Exactly, and nobody can speak if they haven't lost a parent or parents. Its grief that stays with you. It carry's with you. If you get therapy it helps. That's the part Elena plays. She has a lot of grief from loosing her parents.

Elena sacrificing herself makes no sense to me. If she gives herself up then Klaus would just need a vampire (Caroline) and a werewolf to sacrifice (Tyler) and a witch to do the spell. Giving herself up is literally like making it easier for him to complete the spell.

@@kaveenasingsandcosplays3441 The ritual still requires a werewolf and vampire to be sacrificed. It takes 3 sacrifices. That's why Jenna and Jules had to die in the sacrifice and it worked because Elena died temporarily.

I don't know much about this series although I love it so far but it feels a little toxic in my personal view from seeing, when a person says "stop" fucking stop. I can understand a bit going on from the comments but I don't like how nobody listens to her.

Well she has no right running in the tomb with Stefan and Katherine. They are vampires she's not. So Damon was trying to stop her from committing suicide. Well for this whole episode she and her brother were on suicide mission hence the reason stefan got stuck in the tomb
