@@matthewjensen9550 yeah i don't know why they never put rev limiters on 03 to 06 chevy truck but the GMC Sierra 03 to 06 they do have the rev limiter like the 99 02 chevy truck. Sorry for my bad English

How often you bang the limiter? I got 186k on a 2001 Tahoe 5.3 and it runs mint.

i sold the truck have a 1979 k20 now..i had 226k when i sold it had 100k+ miles of complete abuse..your 01 motor is all iron block so it doesnt really matter if you over heat it but i had the all aluminum block with the z06 heads on it its the l33 high output...that being said ive probably hit rev limiter 10-20 times a day the rev limiter is there for a reason..this truck was beat hard up untill i traded it for the k20 i do miss it but ill have another some day
