Wouldn't you rather use thick media paper so you cd frame it instead of extremely thin paper ???

Says this project is for collage. Teabag paper is translucent and perfect for collage work.

I'm curious- EVERYONE else I've watched insists that you must use colour laser prints for transfer even if they are in black and white. How have you had success with the mono laser prints? is it b/c you're using threshold to knock out the highs completely so there page in that section is absent of ink? I'd love to save a little cash by buying the mono laser over colour laser printer. Thanks!

I mentioned in the video not to use Magazines in art for commercial uses. I know and teach about intellectual property in art. Thank you for your concern and for bringing up in comments.

It’s a lino print ( not sure on spelling) we use them in my give textile and art class, it’s a block that you draw a design on, and remove everything but your lines/designs. If you draw a square you carve out the inside of each face but leave the lines and add printing ink, rollers and transfer
@LaurieTrumpet
@LaurieTrumpet 10 ай бұрын
Little different process. This uses a gelatin plate to create mono prints. I love lino prints! But this process is not as intricate.

Honest question, why not print on yellow paper? Maybe I can't see the final results close enough to tell any better?
@LaurieTrumpet
@LaurieTrumpet 10 ай бұрын
Well. The end result is grungy and has a lot more character than printing on yellow paper. Lots of grungy texture and interest. Then, another factor is the joy and element of surprise as not two come out alike. AND its just plain fun to do! 😀

I’ve used the ‘pounce’ technique on a variety of metallic/glossy cardstocks. I’ve found that the pounce technique on highly detailed embossed images tends to detract from the detail. More solid / blended colors, on the other hand, lend themselves to foiling while the ink is still sticky. LOVE the pounce technique for backgrounds that support large images. And isn’t this just the best - to share what we’ve learned with others. 💕

You should really just use permanent makers on these because that's what permanent markers are: alcohol ink.
