if you are wasting your time going through all this every morning, no wonder why most men don't use hair products like these! You should be able to just apply hair product to towel dried hair and go about your business.

I’m going to try this. I have stick straight hair which I use a lot of hairspray. It seems like you can style your hair without any spray. Let me know if I’m wrong. Thanks

You definitely don't NEED a spray with it. It's a very thick and tacky product.

I've used 3 different products from @Arcadianofficial over the last several years. The matte paste, Holy Shiitake, and the OG Clay pomade. All three have been really great as standalone products for styling I do exactly as he did in the beginning, a scoop into towel dried hair distributed throughly then blow dry and shape while it dries. I like to have my hair more clumped together so I don't use a brush while I dry, just comb my fingers through to shape. I prefer a looser hold where i can run my hands through my hair throughout the day to adjust it so I don't go back in for a second scoop but if you like a firmer hold the second scoop after the blow dry will really lock it in and leave you hair with a much better texture than using hairspray or gel. Both of those leave that hard crunchy hair with the wet look that I'm not a big fan of personally

If no hair dryer...I would maybe try towel drying until mostly dry, then spraying, styling and letting it airdry the rest of the way.

I have very curly blonde hair and the matte paste was to dry for me and had too mach hold. When I combed through my hair it got really straight and pretty much stayed that way. I didn‘t have this problem with very wet, lighter products. Basically anything that tugs a lot is not for me. Do you think the clay could work?
@enterprise8979
@enterprise8979 Жыл бұрын
Also I apply to dry hair because if I apply to wet hair they don‘t curl as much and retain the straighter look hair has when wet.

@@enterprise8979 The Clay Pomade is definitely a lighter and less sticky feeling product. It does get a bit dry though as it still is a clay but it's definitely less than hold than Matte Paste.

If you want "second day hair," I'd recommend leaving the product in and you can try blow drying again. Probably want to add a tad bit of water first to your hair and help reactivate the product. Hope it helps!

Quick hair styling demo using Holy Shiitake! Texture Cream. Here's more or less what I did in the video. 1. Apply a scoop to towel dried hair, making sure to spread product evenly from roots to tips. 2. Blow dry to desire shape/style with a brush on hot setting. Then once on cold setting. 3. Style with fingers to form the shape more. 4. Apply a scoop to add more hold and texture. Spread and apply with fingers for less clumping. 5. Finger comb to clean up the look but still maintain a natural look.

Hey Marc, if you're deciding between Holy Shiitake and Matte Paste, I would go with Shiitake because it's a softer product to apply. Rosa applies easily as well. Both are less thick than Matte Paste. Hope this helps!

The OG formula was the best. Honestly this is an issue for me buying homebrew products. a great product might gets reformulated. And then when it no longer works for you, you need to spend $$ again trying out, hunting for a new product. The cycle repeats. I eventually moved to regular salon products for consistency and availability.
@Arcadianofficial
@Arcadianofficial 3 жыл бұрын
Hey thanks for the feedback! Unfortunately we had far many more complaints about the original formula (from 2017?) so something had to be done about it. You see many homebrewers and large companies change their formulas over time because as we receive feedback and the formulas are used more, things that you want or need to improve upon may come up. We admit, it's far more noticeable with smaller brands though. If you do happen to place an order with us for something else, feel free to put in a sample request in the order comments and if we have it, we will include it. Thanks!
