Are those provided wire nuts and pre exposed cut wires the maximum length to be exposed? Also stranded wires of the light should they be pre twisted onto the solid wires from the junction box? Also should you keep twisting these wire nuts so that the 2 wires that still have the protected rubber coating start to twist together (preventing any loose connections within the wire nut)?

@@KodaBuilt Yes, that’s the first thing that I checked. Unfortunately, it happened 3 times already. It will work for 2 days and on the 3rd day it will not. Then I would have to reset the knobs and it it will work again. I don’t think it’s the solar power supply because the moment you reset the knobs, it will start to work again. So, I don’t really know what’s wrong. I like how the lights are so bright but this problem makes me feel bad about this product.Hope you can help me with this. I bought this at Costco.

Useful tip: If you accidently turned ON motion detection and want it off completely, there's a combination of buttons to press to turn it off (doesn't say in the instruction book, I've learnt this from a comment somewhere and want to share it). You need to hold for 5 seconds the 4 top left buttons together while the lights are open, and it will disable the motion detection. The 4 buttons are ''Power'', ''Brightness - 10%'', ''Time until Dim - Off'' & ''Time until Off - Off''. If you press all 4 of those buttons on the top left of the remote at the same time for 5 seconds, when you turn off the lights again, they won't turn on when motion happens near the lamp. I've had to do this twice in the 2 years I've had the lamp, when I accidently click the button to turn motion detection on.

Hi there - Thank you for bringing this to our attention. These responses have helped us realize there is room for improvement with both the solar panel mount design, and our instructions. The most common way to mount the solar panel is to find your mounting location, use a pencil to mark the four mounting hole locations, remove the solar panel, use a power drill to bore pilot holes into the markings, place the solar panel back (through holes aligned to pilot holes), then use a hand screwdriver to drive the screws. (For non-wood surfaces like concrete, use plastic anchors) We're sorry this has inconvenienced you. You can return the units to Costco, or directly through us: kodabuilt.com/apps/returns - whichever is most convenient.

Contacts in switches can "weld" or stick in the closed position or the switch can just wear out so it doesn't separate the contacts. Is there a way to keep it on all night and turn off in the morning?
@KodaBuilt
@KodaBuilt 5 ай бұрын
Hi there! It sounds like you might be looking for the Manual Override function. To do so you will need to follow these steps so you can manually switch the lights on/off. Although, the light will not stay on technically all night. It automatically reverts back to Auto Mode after 6 hours. To enable the manual override function, rotate the motion sensor so the controls face towards the ground. • When power is on, the PIR sensor enters a “warm-up” period for about 40 seconds, then automatically switches into AUTO MODE. • During AUTO MODE, by switching the main switch OFF for about 1 second then ON, the PIR sensor will automatically change into MANUAL MODE from AUTO MODE. In MANUAL MODE, the lights will remain ON, and will NOT be controlled by time duration or ambient light (LUX) levels. The MANUAL MODE will change to AUTO MODE in 6 hours automatically. T

@KodaBuilt

Hi there! Is there anything else on the circuit? The standard for most household circuits are rated either 15 amps or 20 amps. An important note to remember is that circuit breakers can only handle about 80% of their overall amperage. That means a 15-amp circuit breaker can handle around 12-amps and a 20-amp circuit breaker can handle about 16 amps.

Hi there! This Outdoor Wall Lantern has a photocell light sensor, so it won't "turn on" during the day unless you cover the light sensor with the provided sensor cap. If the light is not turning on at night, ensure the circuit is switched ON (if tied to a switch inside your house). If you've done all that, try using a different bulb (up to 60W) to rule out if it's a bulb issue. The ground wire would not interfere with the operation of the light.

How do you activate the sensor on the Koda lanterns? I need to remove caps from the light sensors so they work as dusk to dawn Koda lanterns. It mentions about it on page #9 in the manual for a KODA Outdoor LED Coach LIght, but it is vague. I know that there are different model numbers on the Koda lanterns.

Hi there! All KODA Outdoor LED Lanterns (wall or post mount) which come with a dusk-to-dawn photocell sensor will work automatically once the sensor cap is removed. There is also no manual way to turn-off the photocell, unless you cover it with the provided Sensor Cap. Cap darkens the photocell, essentially simulating night.

Is this flood light work dust to dawn

Hi there! Yes, the Passive Infrared (PIR) sensor also acts as a dusk-to-dawn photosensor. It will turn on at dusk, turn off at dawn and not require manual switching. Just make sure to check your settings! If placed in Test or Manual modes, unit will override dusk-to-dawn for testing in the day. (very easy setting to forget!)

Hi, can I use dimmer to dimm this light or it’s not dimmable? I just bought but package doesn’t say it’s dimmable or not, I do know it’s switches mode to give you different intensity of light?
