I had my son cranking the engine in a 2003 F150 4.6L while I had all 8 injectors unplugged so that it wouldn't start up. We did this because I needed the torque converter drain plug at the bottom of the transmission so I could drain it also when changing the tranny fluid and filter. Could that have messed up the fuel pressure regulator? I'm wondering because now the truck doesnt accelerate like it did before. The onlybother thing I did was take the stock muffler off and replace it with one of the red Cherry Bomb glasspack mufflers.

I would try unhooking the batter for about 20 minutes and hook it back up to reset the computer. It is worth a try.
@1991DesertVet14 күн бұрын
@pauljavener7342 we found the problem. I had already replaced the fuel pump several months or a year earlier and my daughter always refills the tank when it gets down to a 1/4 tank. It got a lower while I was working on it and cranking it at different points and the gauge got stuck, making me think that it still had fuel. We figured out that it was just empty when we poured gas in it and it cranked and ran fine and has ever since. I felt goofy but relieved at the same time.

Thank you for doing an excellent video. Hopefully this will help a Crank No Start with New Alternator, New Battery, New Fuel Filter but No Pressure on Fuel Rail which it could be the Fuel Pump or Fuel Pressure Regulator but my guess is that it’s the Fuel Pump! 185k miles and it’s never been replaced.

I realized, I never uploaded the full video. The fix for this was the fuel pump. I'll try to get the video upload this week.

Is it realistic to “pay as I go” with the build?

If you can get the building to the point of weathered-in, then it is realistic it. Because you can have a place to sleep or store things.

I really want someone to do this for me. I’d like to fit 3 bedrooms into about 800-1000 sqft with water catchment and solar power. I want to do it debt free. How much cash should I save?
@NicolasKeeton7 ай бұрын
If you were doing it all yourself, maybe it could be done for about $50k for a basic design. When you pay someone to build for you, the cost could easily be $100k-$200k, because you'll be paying a markup on material prices, delivery/gas and labor.

Anyone done it with one jack with one axel raised at a time ?
@NicolasKeeton7 ай бұрын
Yes, plenty of times. I just don't advise it in the video, because someone will watch the video and might attempt with a bad jack. To be on the safer side, put an old wheel or cinder blocks underneath the frame, if you can't get jack stands. Just something strong enough to hold the car, if the jack fails. Which is rare, but does happen for emergency jacks or not maintained hydraulic jacks.

You painted the angle cut because it did not have pressure treatment on it. Do you have any idea how pressure treated lumber gets its name. Did you know when pressure treating wood, the chemicals used are pressured into the inside of the wood. Hence pressure treated. It doesn’t make the wood harder but it is heavier because of the pressure treatment chemicals are infused into the wood.
@NicolasKeeton8 ай бұрын
There's mix information everywhere from professionals and manufacturers, regarding sealing pressure treated lumber that has been cut. I'd rather spend an extra 5 minutes to paint the ends as an extra-precaution. Thanks for watching the video!

Excellent content for a beginner like me. If you put two seeding potatoes in their how many potatoes can you expect to harvest? Thank you
@NicolasKeeton7 ай бұрын
It really depends on a lot of factors. I recommend planting as many as possible. I pulled mine too early and they're were only really tiny potato pods. I plan to do another video when it gets cooler here. These days it's 110+ degrees outside
@CherryBombZ289 ай бұрын
How thick of metal were you able to weld with this machine?
@NicolasKeeton7 ай бұрын
Depends on a couple factors, I'd say up to 1/4inch (6mm), no problem. On a single bead it would depend on a couple things like process (MIG vs Stick vs TIG) , welding filler material (Rod type/size, wire type, etc.,.) and Input voltage(120v vs 220v). Lastly, prep is also important. A bevel edge will give better result than a dirty non-prep piece. This welder is mostly for things under 1/4in considering you'll hit duty limits on 120v faster than 220v at higher amperage.
