We are crucified with Christ. We can’t “deny ourselves” “give ourselves to God” “sacrifice ourselves”, Jesus himself took us on himself and we were crucified with Christ. Romans 6:1-7 Galatians 2:19-20 The only way we live as sacrifices is by seeing ourselves crucified with Christ and dead to the law. Romans 7:1-7 We receive the spirit and walk in the spirit through faith apart from the works of the law. Galatians 3:1-6

I relate with what you are saying, I have learned that our hearts have unspeakable communication, like the mind, the brain has thoughts, the heart has something similar, but for those who know Christ, it’s his presence, unseen but known. It wasn’t until recently I realized the station of my heart has been in a good place since I was young, because I questioned if I was doing the right thing and if I wasn’t, I felt I was doing wrong and wanted to make it right, not all have that and I believe it has to do with Christs humility. amen! this has been something that God has been continually reminding me of lately. sin is truly so destructive & whenever i feel that my flesh is craving sin, i ask God to break my heart for what breaks His; to hate the things that separate me from Jesus. i don’t want to love the things that bring nothing but disorder and destruction. but like you mentioned brother, we need His help to truly flee from sin. we can’t do it on our own!

…. I have been experiencing the same thing. I had a Dream but it wasn’t at the same. Had my eyes open saw a black shadow and as funny as it sounds it looked like the dementor from Harry Potter. I couldn’t speak and couldn’t shout. All i remember was my lips being shut and trying to scream Jesus name… Until i finally did i screamed with such fear and it stoped. Ever since i chose to follow God i have been experiencing weird things in my life.
