Paul, I just ran across this. It brings back many great memories. Thanks for leaving it up. We should try to organize one more. It's been awhile and there are so many who have passed on but it would be great to have one more. Next year will be 25 years since we shut it down.

Hi Paul. I am SO sorry to hear of Maria's passing!!!! I have been forced to relocate to the hi-desert after a series of auto accidents jacked me up, but I had kept in touch with her a few times a year via email. My best friend Jen, flew out from Philly a few weeks ago, and we went to Belmont Shore to check out our old stomping grounds, and of course we just HAD to swing by my old apartment. I found out from the guy who's renting the house. Oddly, I'd been having dreams of living there recently, and was absolutely SHOCKED to hear that Maria has left us. I sent you a friend request on FaceBook. 99% of the time I use FB for networking and sharing dogs that need new homes. My mom and I always think of Maria, because between us we have 13 dogs; my mom has 4 licensed in her name, as do I, and the rest are all fosters for various rescues. Maria would be proud! I hope you're doing well. My most sincere condolences to you and everyone else who loved Maria. She was a very important aspect of my life while I was in school, and I've always been thankful for the bad-ass apartment that you guys made for me. Sending hugs and good vibes your way.
